When we arrived we received a great welcome fromJesse at the reception desk, and once the staff realised how difficult us oldies would find the stairs found us a room on the ground floor and explained that as the building is grade 2 listed,it was not possible to have a lift installed. We remember the old style hotel and were very happy and amazed by the trasformation of the bar ,dining room and the two outdoor seating/eating areas. The food was good with a special discount for people staying at the hotel and here,Louis and the rest of the staff were all excellent efficient and helpful it seemed that nothing was too much trouble. All in all:a lovely visit to a town where we once lived. Thanks to all concerned.
