Everything. Staff were very friendly. Leah was especially helpful sorting out a more accessible room for me and helping with luggage. Room was beautiful. Food was great.

I liked that the customer service was great. She offered me cold water as it was a hot day and I was feeling rather warm. She offered with me needing to ask.

Booking.com price was £30 above what friends paid for same room. I believe booking through Booking.com is a toal rip off and should be avoided.

I love staying here its my favourite hotel when we travel to this area for any reason and never book anywhere else been coming here for years. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the food is excellent. We held our mother's 90th birthday here and our 35th Wedding Anniversary a few years ago brilliant. We love the train station down the road and the village is in easy walking distance. There's a great little shop Norths near the railway bridge with wonderful treats and café worth a visit .

I was very much surprised, in a good way with the hotel.
I was very much surprised, in a good way with the hotel.
My single room was on the 2nd floor, which had spectacular views of the garden and the water feature. I wish I could have stayed longer!
The bathroom was a little outdated but clean and functional.
The floors throughout the hotel were very squeaky, which may only disturb you if you were a light sleeper.
I would certainly stay here again, staff were lovely, breakfast was awesome and the scenery was delightful!

Very pretty part of Leicestershire.
Very pretty part of Leicestershire. Absolutely NO MOBILE SIGNAL so you can hardly book a taxi except from a landline. Some people will love the fact that there's no mobile signal lol. Very good access to Swithlands, where we had a family wedding.

Both dinners in the restaurant were excellent, served by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Rooms were good, our room lock failed on second day so w were moved to another room. This was handled quickly and efficiently so no complaints. The Wi-Fi in the hotel was not working which was the only inconvenience.

First impression counts, hence our Room not having a phone, a TV remote control and the main lamp on the table not working reflects in our rating. Housekeeping should make a final check to ensure guests ' comfort.
All these were corrected as soon as the issues were raised. So top service from staff in front office. The hotel has some lovely grounds...very calming.
The location is very nice, right near Bradgate Country Park in Rothley, and a short distance from Leicester. The hotel building is very historic and has some beautiful period features (stained glass and many wooden doors) that are stunning. The staff were delightful to speak with and super helpful!
Location of hotel and view from bedroom was amazing. The bedroom was located in the main hotel.
All staff we met were friendly, helpful and professional. Food was good value.
The history of the Templar’s once occupying it.
Lots to do in the local area.
Authenticity. Original architecture. Fabulous quintessentially English countryside and warm-hearted staff who did their utmost at all times to create an amazing event. Best hotel breakfasts ever!
