The Burgoyne is in the perfect location. I had a lovely room at the front of the building overlooking the Green - just a delightful view to wake up to.
The staff were excellent: very welcoming, friendly and efficient. The dinner was very good, interesting choices and well executed.
I have to say that the decor is bizarre for a Yorkshire Dales town, sort of Gothic meets Baroque, but it all adds to the nice, fun atmosphere.
On the banks of the River Swale in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, this 13th-century former coaching inn offers freshly prepared, homemade food and light rooms with flat-screen TVs.

It’s strategic location in the village and, being an Inn, the different ambience from hour to hour, day to day, depending on whether the bar was open, the weather and the day of the week.
Ivy Cottage Bed & Breakfast is set on Reeth’s village green, in Swaledale, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This charming guest house offers free Wi-Fi and a Yorkshire breakfast.

Everything was excellent. The room and breakfast room were so tastefully decorated. The breakfast was excellent. Donna was such an attentive and friendly host.It is definitely the best place we have stayed at during our walk along James Herriot way. The only suggestion we would have is for the addition of a thicker blind or curtains at the window to block out the light in the morning. Unfortunately we were woken early by the early morning light.

Lovely room which was large, a quick filling bath (much needed after a long day walking!) and a really big comfy bed. Great views over Reeth
The Wheatsheaf Hotel is set in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park. The restaurant serves dishes made using local recipes and produce, and the bar serves real ales.

An absolutely superb stay here on a week long tour of the area. Super comfortable beds and well equipped rooms.
Staff were all friendly and efficient through bars and restaurant. A snug/lounge area is nice and ample seating outside on picnic tables to enjoy the evening early summer.
A very good evening meal raises any rating for here as it nicely gives restaurant quality and certainly not bar food.
Well done ... 👏

Location was stunning, staff were lovely, room very nice and comfortable. Evening meal was delicious and breakfast too. We loved our stay and would definitely come again
A great area for walking - at any level. Great views of dales and moorland, with lots of wildlife.
Fond a a lovely little cafe/hotel in Twaite for lunch and in the evening we ate in the Bridge at Grinton which had a fantastic atmosphere. Lots of dogs , children and locals enjoying a pint. Good log fire was appreciated as the weather was dreary.

A quiet typically Swaledale market town.
A quiet typically Swaledale market town. Great small shop, well thought out with post office and gifts. Also paper shop and great pubs. A good base to walk from and accessible drives/walks through Swaledale along the valley or up and over. Wensleydale is a short drive over and the Buttertubs Pass is spectacular. Gorgeous 18th century town of Richmond is to hand and well worth a visit. Cannot recommend Reeth highly enough to serious walkers, strollers or sightseers. Incredible views of the dales and friendly Yorkshire people.

Overall a brilliant stay - log fires, good beer ,food and friendly welcome. The room was cosy, with a throw on the bed if too hot! There was a TV,coffee/tea/biscuits/kettle with an extension lead.A private bath and toilet was included with separate entrances, so no queue for the loo! There was an opportunity to upgrade but happy with the room!

One of the most beautiful Dales villages with great walking and pubs. The Black Bull was friendly with good food and a wide selection of Ales. The other pubs were great too. The Red Lion at Langthwaite is really worth a visit to experience a traditional Dales Pub. Excellent location to explore Swale Dale and Arkengarth Dale. The drive from Layburn to Reeth is sensational whist the other routes over to Wensley Dale via Askrigg or over Buttertubs pass to Hawes are so dramatic. A paradise for walking, scenery, beer and food!

A quiet hamlet with a couple of pubs and shops.
A quiet hamlet with a couple of pubs and shops. Being in Richmondshire it is located in rolling hills which provides fantastic views of the countryside. A lovely place to stay for a night if you’re completing the coast to coast challenge!
Spacious, comfortable cosy cottage with lots of character, spread over three floors.
Fabulous views from the kitchen-diner
Village of Reeth was friendly with lots of facilities for its size
Pubs either side, tea shops, craft shop, library, restaurant, ice-cream parlour
Plenty of local walking from the front door.
Great little community bus with friendly volunteer drivers took us to Richmond and Muker
Lovely pub/hotel which is in the centre of Reeth with parking outside. Very dog friendly and gave breakfast to my dog as well as the humans! Nice food although a bit limited on the vegan/veggie side but did do breakfasts which were suitable and tasty. Room was very clean and cosy.
The food is fantastic here and the rooms were beautifully appointed. All of the staff were delightful We were traveling with two other people and the hotel upgraded their room to a gorgeous suite! There’s also parking in the back of the property which is very nice.
Lovely little B&B on the green in Reeth. Our room was really comfortable with all the little touches that let you settle in. Donna was very welcoming and made us great breakfasts. We wish we could have stayed longer.
Its character and location in the village. There are some great walks and beautiful scenery around Reeth and the hotel is ideally suited for these. We both agreed that we would love to return to return.
This is a well run country house hotel in a marvelous location. It achieves its reputation through the comfort of its rooms, the high standard of its cuisine and the welcome provided by its staff.
Hannah and Terry are the best hosts. The whole vibe of the guesthouse is super cosy and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is superb. The village of Reeth is lovely, we'd absolutely stay there again.
