It was in the perfect location for us, had onsite parking, bedrooms were perfectly sized for an overnight stay. Large bathroom with bath and shower. Comfy beds and nicely decorated. All complimentary items were quality and dogs were allowed in all areas of the property. We even got some scrambled egg for our dog at breakfast. Room was clean and smelt fresh, included treats and bed for dog on arrival. Our dog is very picky with food but she absolutely loved it and ate the whole bowl! No dog smell anywhere in the hotel. Such fab, friendly staff too!

Room was the family room.
Quite as away from other rooms.
Very comfortable.
On Suite was very clean and looks to have been recently refurbished.
Overlooking the River Bure, this black-and-white timbered lodge offers a cosy pub with seasonally inspired food. The Southern Comfort paddle boat is moored just outside the property.

Breakfast was superb. Character of the property was very good. Good enough to warrant us checking The Swan on Google.

Breakfast was diabolical, too long and over Cooked. Surroundings were mucky, the cleaner serving food. Inflexible on choices

The venue was beautiful, I can see why it’s commonly used for weddings. Room and bathroom were beautiful and so were the staff. Food was excellent and we arrived on a Sunday and had Sunday lunch which was large and plentiful! Breakfast was amazing too.
If you have the weather, then it’s the place to be.

The bed was so comfortable we had the best nights sleep in years. The room was decorated beautiful. Outside is a small courtyard where we sat and spoke to the people in the next room. We had a beautiful breakfast that was like a feast. The owners and staff were so friendly and aimed to please us.
Local pub (50m) did great beer and food.
Local store (50m) had all the essential provisions we needed (and a lot more beside)
Location close to the river at Womack Staithe and Ludlum Bridge (good for me as an angler)

I had contacted the King’s Arms (across the road from the cottage) before our visit and booked dinner on Christmas Eve. We called in on our first evening and they were very friendly and welcoming. The pub was beautifully decorated and pretty full for a Monday evening.
The meal itself was brilliant and extremely good value. We’d go again!
