Lovely pub and hotel in a beautiful, quiet and peaceful location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great service in the bar and restaurant. Excellent evening meal and breakfast. I would highly recommend staying and eating here.

Lovely little cottage in a beautiful location. The locals are so friendly. Very comfy bed
We went for breakfast at the cafe a couple of mins walk away and it was very nice and the lady that runs it was lovely! We visited Pistyll Rhaeadr, which was only a 12min drive away. Sarah has brilliant communication. Would definitely recommend

I fell in love with this wonderful little house in a fabulous village. The house had absolutely everything you could need, plus more. The village had a Spar, fish and chip shop, Indian takeaway and a pub, all on it's doorstep. I hope to return.

A beautiful valley and interesting, picturesque towns and villages nearby. The Hand is a superb pub/hotel. The food is exceptional and the real ale and wine of high quality. My comments about reception do not relate to the friendly and welcoming staff who made checking-in a helpful experience, but to the complicated payment arrangements booking.com have in place for stays at the hotel.

We didn't venture out of the Hotel as we arrived late afternoon and left after breakfast. That said, what could be seen of the countryside was stunning and there was talk about fabulous walks to experience. It is hidden away which is just perfect for us. The West Arms Hotel was the most wonderful place to stay. The interior, the atmosphere, the service, the warm welcome, the quality of everything it had to offer was excellent.

Llanarmon D C is a little remote hamlet in a beautiful setting. There aren't any shops but it does have two cracking pub / hotels - be prepared. it's hard to beat if you enjoy the open air and comfortable traditional accommodation and good food.

Outstanding views all around you. The most beautiful countryside I have ever seen! Very friendly locals. Amazing walks along various footpaths, although as it's very hilly you need to be reasonably fit and sure footed for these walks. The breakfast was great and dinner, which we had on two of our three nights, was equally memorable. But then what do you expect from a Michelin-star chef?! Jackie was extremely pleasant, friendly and caring. Incidentally, although there was a warning that mobile calls would be impossible from the hotel, we made several calls and found the WiFi system to be faultless.

The room was very clean, warm and comfy with a lovely big bed. The bathroom was beautifully cleaned and equipped with a lovely selection of toiletries. Having stayed at quite a lot of hotels for both business and pleasure The Hand was one of the best to date and I would highly recommend.
