A wonderfully quiet beautifully presented hotel. The restaurant is first class - expected pub food - but this is just excellent!
A 30-minute walk from Loch Ness and directly on the Great Glen Way route, the Craik Na Dav B&B is situated in natural woodland with views of Sron Na Muic Mountain opposite.

Lots of interesting things even though it was onky a small village. Loved our stay at Craig na Dav, a lovely B&B. Would highly recommend it. Comfortable accommodation with a great choice of breakfast. The sisters who run the place were really nice and made us so welcome,

I was slightly put off by the owner message that we had to arrive by a certain time for the key to be available. I think it was by 7 pm and it seemed as though she would not make exception for emergencies.

Invermoriston doesn't have anything in it, particularly, other than a nice coffee shop and one really, really good pub/restaurant (the only game in town, but it is luckily a good one). Is it really a "town," per se? Hard to tell. Sort of just a crossroads along driving/hiking routes. But it's very pretty!

Loved everything about it!! Wonderful hosts.
Loved everything about it!! Wonderful hosts. Really friendly, kind and helpful from booking through to the stay. Nothing too much trouble. The studio apartment we stayed in was absolutely spotless and well aired. Really comfy beds and sofa. Very well appointed / well supplied kitchen too (we picked up lovely food for our stay from a decent sized M&S foodhall a few miles away). Bathroom was great too. It's located in a brilliant spot and was perfect for our trip. I would recommend Lann Dearg to anyone. Would definitely book again if in the area, without hesitation. The best of it might actually have been the delight of hearing SO much birdsong!! Birds, like Bees seem to have declined a huge amount since my childhood (I'm 50 and based in England as a child and for the last 10 years) and this was just fantastic to hear. Saw a few birds on the lawn I've not seen for a very long time too. Just loved it. Oooh and the night sky!!
This was a lovely little updated cabin in nature, close to trails, lochs and the nearest city. The owners were friendly and very helpful. The reviews had warned to bring food with us, which we did. We took day trips to Inverness, Isle of Skye and Eileen Donan Castle. This was a great location and cabin for the price. We had worried the cabin would be old and rustic, which it was not. The owners had kept it in good condition, the furniture was new and comfortable. Perfect for two people.
Amanda and Lynsey are very friendly, chatty and knowledgeable.
Complimentary dram of whisky in the room!
Ideal location for Great Glen Way hikers.
Great care taken over Covid regulations.
Animal and wildlife lovers will be especially happy here.
Terrific breakfast, better than more expensive luxury hotels and B&Bs en route.
Honestly one of the best B&Bs I have used while walking from Land’s End to John O’Groats.
- The host (Hayley) was incredibly welcoming and helpful, even securing my a reservation at the nearby hotel for dinner (the only place in that area which served it!)
- The room was spacious and welcoming
- Breakfast was delicious with the option of cooked as well as continental style. It helped set me up for my walk the next day.
The cottage has a wow factor for self catering accommodation! We loved the location and it is very clean and comfortable (the bed is not as firm as we like it but that is our personal preference). The basket of welcome goodies is a lovely touch and very well appreciated. Waking up to even a partial view of the Loch was fabulous!
The Kindness of the team
The spot down the hotel in front of the Loch
The dining room
The 8-pool

The capacity to buy first needs (food and beverages)
The organisation of the collective kitchen
+ 1 for the discovery of a cider ahed in whisky barrels. Made my trip
The studio my father and I stayed in was very comfortable. The hosts are friendly and welcoming and have done an excellent job organising the accommodation. We were walking the Great Glen Way and couldn't have found a more pleasant place to spend the night.
Pretty much everything. Room was very comfortable and quiet. Food was excellent and staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel had the ambience and inside look, furnishing and decorations that reflected the interesting history of the hotel and area.
The owner was very friendly and welcoming and the room was very clean and cozy. She was able to make a reservation for us at the hotel for dinner and breakfast in the morning was great, just what we needed for our hike along the Great Glen Way!
Garden cottage very comfortable, staff were attentive and clearly committed to your satisfaction.
Restaurant was elegant with a highland feel served excellent food, well cooked and presented
The cabin was in a lovely spot, small but clean & tidy.
Easy access to Fort Augustus & Inverness with a bus stop just down the road.
Very secluded with, in good weather, picnic bench & bbq
Everything is provided for you - tea, coffee, all cooking utensils. Ample DVD selection too for cozy nights in. Good location for exploring Loch Ness and Inverness. Thank you for hosting us.
Nice, historic hotel with appropriate charm. Comfortable, convenient, easy parking, and good food available. The hotel has a nice history and is convenient to many sites of interest.
Breakfast was wonderful and tailored to our requests. The rooms and bathrooms were large and had a nice tea/snack option. We loved our stop here as we drove from Skye to Inverness.
The location and the friendliness of the staff.
Accommodations are spartan but clean and comfortable.
I would stay again and will certainly recommend it to others.
