The Piece Hall is a spectacular piece of history and Architecture which, is being preserved by the trustees imaginative use of the grand space. Shopping, eateries, bars, seasonal events and entertainment. And, now it’s hosting some big name bands and doing really well. Lots of little market towns (Think - last of the summer wine) & historically rich in and around Halifax Town. Lots to do for entertainment if you visit

Supposed to be secured front door only access was a code provided but on arrival doors were open. On message to property they said they will get engineer out as no body as told them. That was not true as we met another guy staying at property and said he had told them several times.
Floor boards up in room letting in slugs and again told them and they said sorry and thanks for letting them know as first time this as happened, again not true as read other reviews.

Halifax has a wide range of shops, pubs and fun things to do. Everything is fairly close together and there's plenty of places to park your car. There's a great choice of places to eat from the big names such as McDonalds, Burger King, KFC as well as some more independent eateries, including a Greek restaurant. Halifax town centre also has a cinema, mini golf, the famous Piece Hall which often has live music, markets and more.

This was our second stay here, this time round we stayed in the room with the balcony.. The room was huge, as was the balcony. It was very clean & tidy. The owners are also very helpful and reply to messages quickly. If you're looking for somewhere to stay in Halifax for a few nights I would definitely advise this place. Very convenient location, very clean, beds are comfy, WiFi & smart TV. We will be back again❤️
.anything , i couldn't entry . they said i didn't show . i was there , i called them , then they didn't take my calls or answer messages . they didn't tell me the house number . i had to sleep in one of my friends places . i've got probes and wittinesses. i lived three years in halifax. i know the town and i lived in the same street
Great location and very near the train station (although it is uphill on the way there so I took a taxi up the hill, but walked back for my return). The hotel room was fine--the basics. But, it was clean enough and the bed was okay and it's in a good area with lots to see and do. It's only about 2 blocks from the famous Piece Hall.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming, providing excellent recommendations on things to see and do in the area and were obviously part of a happy team. The hotel is indeed a 'hidden gem' on the outskirts of Halifax. The room was comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent and the hotel was good value for money.
Excellent breakfast and evening meal, beautiful location, clean/comfortable rooms. The staff went way beyond my expectations when my car was damaged. Ian organized my windscreen to be covered, took delivery of my hire car and removal of my damaged car. All the staff are a credit to the hotel.
A beautiful home in a pretty village with easy access to Halifax and Huddersfield. The Lodge is a spacious yet warm and cozy cottage with everything you could need. We had a wonderful Christmas there. Andrew and Charlotte were friendly and kind hosts and we look forward to visiting again!

We enjoyed our whole stay, from start to finish. The attention to detail was second to none. The food was stunning, the best meal we have had in a long time. The breakfast was delicious. Our room was clean and comfortable and very in keeping with the theme of the hotel.
Room was lovely and absolutely spotless. Comfy bed and plenty towels and good tea/coffee options. Really close to a bus stop in/out of Halifax - it doesn't run late but handy for daytime.
Very helpful staff. Big room with a seating area and a nice bathroom. Comfortable bed. Good quality breakfast. The hotel is in an impressive building. Brilliant value for money.
