Guisborough is a handy base for exploring the ocast and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. It has a mix of traditional old pubs and modern new pop up bars which we liked. We had an electric car and used the central charge points in the main car park park.

I am from Guisborough.
I am from Guisborough. Its a place like a lot of places, it has a lot of closed down shops. But a lot of nice shops and cafes. The hills are close by. Although I would not live there again, I enjoy visiting family and friends. I like shopping there. Good pubs. The buses had changed. Not as good as they were, but I travelled on them OK.

This country town has several good pubs, some nice shops and easy access to the coast. We didn’t really spend much time in the town but it has some interesting buildings including the remains of the Priory.
Make sure you get a visit to Saltburn and staithes.

Lovely market town with Abbey.
Lovely market town with Abbey. Access to the coast, resorts such as Staithes and Whitby. Stunning countryside to walk in nearby. Will stay again for longer. 1 night definitely not long enough to enjoy all there is to offer in surrounding area.

An historic building in grand surroundings with easy travelling distance to North York Moors and Whitby.
The quality of the furnishings and ambience are very relaxing. The helpfulness of the staff. People who cannot walk far should request a room close to a lift and not too far from the main building. Short people should not have rooms with velux windows as very difficult to reach.
The cottage was just off Westgate, the main street in Guisborough, but it was so quiet, even at kicking out time from the local pubs. Guisborough is a short drive from the coast and the countryside so we used the cottage as a base and day-tripped. We ate at the Three Fiddles and The Fox on a couple of evenings and the food was really good.
The cottage was fully kitted out, could have cooked if we'd wanted but we were on holiday so why bother? We met Vanessa a couple of times, she was lovely and really helpful.
Good location, cheap parking. The rooms are clean and the property looks recently refurbished. It's central to Guisborough High Street but not noisy at all. There's a small cafe selling good food and coffee about 30 metres from the property. There's also good selection of pubs/micropubs/restaurants within a very short walk of the property.
Bathroom and kitchen are particularly nice and the milk/coffee/shower gel were appreciated. Towels were included. WiFi is provided and is pretty fast.
Andy and Louise were very prompt to reply to messages and sorted out permission for us to park in the residents' area nearby. The property is on the edge of Guisborough and we were able to walk to a selection of shops, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants in what is a very nice little town. The property itself is beautiful, lovely combination of old and modern features. We particularly loved 'the snug', the lovely kitchen and cosiness of the living and dining areas.
A beautiful hotel with an open fire, lovely staff and a wonderful setting. My room was a great size, fantastic bathroom with bath, shower and great lighting, double sink, the food in the restaurant (we used the grill) was absolutely delicious. Everything about this stay made it a wonderful visit.
The room exceeded my expectations. Very clean and smartly decorated. Large and very clean bathroom. There was a microwave on the landing to heat up my dinner (which was unexpected). Plenty of free parking. It's out on a limb, but only a short drive from Guisborough, which has all you need.
Comfortable room, very clean. Lovely sitting area outside hotel and weather a bonus. Staff very friendly, food was good, breakfast menu also good. Plenty of spacious areas in the hotel to sit for drink, relax etc. everyone able to keep distance re Covid precautions.
Cute little cottage, perfect for our over night stay. Close to Guisborough shops and facilities. Comfortable beds and good bathroom. The lounge was really comfortable and perfect for our 1 year old to toddle around.
We have friends in Guisborough, that's why we have chosen the Rosebud. Calm street, very English building, so comfortable, clean, warm...you can see and feel that hosts do a lot to make you feel like at home 😀
Location was very central and convenient. Great facilities. Comfortable bedrooms. Super shower. We only stayed one night while walking the Cleveland Way, but this house would be great for a longer stay.
The house was spacious and comfortable. There was a pleasant sitting area outside, but the weather didn't cooperate. It is conveniently situated for the centre of Guisborough.
