Lovely vibe, nice staff, comfy beds. Also there was a hotel cat called Mimi that lived on the grounds. Made the visit even better.
Budget friendly, clean, homely guest house about 10 minutes drive from London Stansted Airport (3.6 miles). Fast, easy and convenient SELF CHECK-IN and SELF CHECK-OUT.

The apartment was gorgeous and really done out well. The location was quiet, safe and child friendly and the park was a great attraction across the road. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and I'd definitely come back if I was in the location again!

Great for the Airport, only 5 minutes to the long stay parking
Got an early morning knock on the door. Will definitely use again
Featuring a stylish bar, the 4-star Novotel Hotel offers modern bedrooms. The hotel is just a 6-minute bus ride from Stansted Airport terminal building.
Food was not bad but don't think they cooked it. Think it could have been a takeout bought in. The hotel is having a make over so should not be used. Also I think other people were living there......

Bed was very comfortable and facilities in the room were good.
Atmosphere in the public area (dining and bar) was a little lacking. Seating for a group of four having drinks just didn't exist - we ended up sitting on two settees that were alongside each other, ie four people sitting in a long line rather than facing each other. A few moveable chairs that could be used to create more of a 'group' setting would be a great improvement.

Quiet, small, comfortable self contained village. it has a Tesco Express open till 23:00 a Fish and Chip Shop and a pub called the Crown with a large garden where you can also get food.
We bought our evening meal at the Fish and Chip shop (good average quality) and got what we needed for a very nice Breakfast at our shared kitchen, self-catering accommodation at the Tesco Express.
The village is well kept and tidy and has some interesting little onuments.

This was disappointing .
This was disappointing . Tired, damaged rooms and a break fast with no choice and not even asked what we wanted. Nothing different for 10 and 8 year old children either. Damage to walls and taps which fired water everywhere. I wouldn't recommend.

Excellent, friendly and well appointed hotel.
Excellent, friendly and well appointed hotel. Loved its quirkiness and individuality. Large, comfortable and clean bedroom. The restaurant food was also extremely good especially for the price. The only downside is that there is no internet in the bedrooms although you could be lucky and find yourself in one that their internet reaches.

We got a very warm welcome on arrival although it was the early hours of the morning, we were shown the kitchen and how to help ourselves to tea and coffee, and then our bedroom which was very comfortable with en-suite, tv etc.
I cannot speak highly enough of this place, it was immaculate, very spacious and had everything you could hope for from a property of this type. The owners (and their little girl) were also delightful and made us feel very welcome. I live away from home for a considerable part of the year in various hotels etc and in my opinion the owners are undervaluing this property, I would of happily paid twice as much. If I fly from Stansted in the future I will be visiting again.
Stansted lodge is fun. It's quirky in a way, but perfect to stay overnight when in transit at Stansted airport. The bus took about 25 minutes and the train about 20 (with the train to the airport you have to change train once, but very easy). Elsenham is really small and cute and the lodge is in a residential area. Everything was self check in and it worked perfectly. We'd totally recommend if your tired of boring hotel rooms and airport accommodations.
Nice simple accommodation close to Stansted Airport. The lodge was a short walk from the Elsenham Station, which is connected well to all the tube stations around London. The commute from central London via the train was only 50 minutes approximately. Overall, the room was clean and so were the bathrooms. Very good value for money.
Let’s be clear here - the Hotel is 3.5 miles from the airport at least, probably more. It has no shuttle bus. Only accessible by taxi. Which because of the taxi thiefdom operating at Stansted Airport, means a £46 round trip. I didn’t like anything about the hotel.
I liked the frescoes. It was a hotel with its very own style. It was quiet and comfortable. The room was spacious and the site was surprisingly rural even though it is very close to the Terminal. They were running a great deal on parking when I was there
The property was immaculate, excellent contact from the owners and the apartment had everything we needed. The property is super close to Stansted airport and was perfect for our stopover, so much nicer than any of the airport hotels. Fully recommend!
There's a Tesco Express right around the corner, and it's a short walk from the property to Elsenham Station for easy access to Cambridge or London. The room was well-equipped and cosy. There were good instructions to check in and out.
Breakfast was reasonably priced and not bad. Staff were friendly and helpful. Everything seemed clean but I never received any wash cloths and last night only one towel. Hotel decor was interesting and different.
a quick 5 min transfer to airport that we booked for 9am and was promptly waiting for us at 8:45. The hotel is pretty dated but clean and adequate for a quick overnight stopover.
The rooms and hotel were well-decorated and in good shape. The design of the hotel was very eclectic and the differences in rooms and decorations were refreshing.
