This was a total scam, booked on this site to find that the place had switched ownership and couldn’t get through on any of the phone numbers, thanks to my constant digging I got a number. Spoke with a man to tell me the booking would be void and would have to pay at reception for the stay and go through booking.com for a refund. Still currently waiting on this refund but honestly I will be the last time I use this site and will never recommend this service to anyone. You have been warned!!!!!
This quintessential English village inn is set on the edge of the beautiful Welland Valley, just 4 miles east of Market Harborough and 4 miles west of Corby
Originally built as a coaching inn in 1706...

The set up in the room, which was excellent with everything you could want. Meals were produced really close to the rooms, the food was delicious, the staff couldn’t do enough to help. They were also very friendly.
Set amongst beautiful gardens and Northamptonshire countryside, Rushton Hall is a historic country residence dating from the 15th century.

It’s a beautiful location with a lot of history and a deep peacefulness. I stayed here in 2012 and 2014, in 2013 my aunty had a big party here, and I stayed with my partner in 2018 and 2019. It’s quite good value. I was considering having my 40th here but have been put off by the below. The man who helped my Dad was kind, and I apologise for not tipping, if I ever come again I’ll bring cash. My room was really beautiful and the big bathroom was so spacious, with a great walk in shower. The lady who brought breakfast was absolutely lovely.
I generally don’t like writing anything negative online so if Rushton were to get in touch with me and develop their dietary and disability approach I would add a more positive update.

We came as traders for the Marston Steam Fair and Desborough was a good a place as any to book a hotel room for one night as the show was only on for two day. The local area seemed very clean and welcoming. And they have many eating places and shops but unfortunately we didn't have the time to explore the area. We went to a lovely Indian restaurant just up from the R Inn Hotel and it was very nice, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

I am a frequent visitor to the hotel its in a good location quite close to my work.
Staff are good and facilities and food also good.
Exceptional value for money.
Car park appears to be under renovation which is good as it can get a bit muddy in the winter.

I greatly enjoyed the quirkiness of local residents and established village living i.e. outdoor markets and people going about daily routine. The village has a certain charm, perhaps not immediately apparent but quickly grows.
The pace is slow and relaxed but also has vitality. Centrally located with speedy access to larger towns/cities should you wish to venture further.

Very off-the-beaten track but reflects semi-rural UK life wonderfully. Plenty of 'interesting' characters but generally friendly. An extremely old village and you quickly gain the impression current residents are from families who've lived in/around the area for many generations.
Don't expect a high-street shopping experience but if you enjoy a range of take-away food Desborough's your place. Perfect location for travellers to consolidate en-route to destinations further afield.

I would stay there again out of convenience if I was at a function there.
If you pay for breakfast they send you to the cafe two doors down. The cafe was nice.
The on-site restaurant was nice and we got discount as we were staying in the hotel. Good cocktails.
I think they should thoroughly clean the rooms as this is what let’s them down.
The bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was very good especially the corner bath with tall taps. The bar[/lounge was also very nice, super sized tables suitable for parties and classy looking bar. All the hotel was very clean. And the staff very nice. Large tv's on the wall's of the bedroom and bar areas. Hotel in a good location for pub across the road. And lovely Indian restaurant in walking distance which we recommend.
Room was clean, well laid out and comfortable due to COVID restrictions I was told that no one would enter my room during my stay but on one particularly hot day I returned to find a tower fan/cooling unit had been placed on my table - very thoughtful was my initial impression until I plugged it in and found that it wasn’t working - that just about sums up this hotel!
Ideal for contractors or for just a few nights need whilst travelling. Good basic rooms but the breakfast was the highlight....enough for the largest appetite and cooked to order. Staff friendly and helpful.
Old style pub in the centre of Desborough
Excellent service and homely feel. Only a night stay last minute but everything was what I needed. Best breakfast I have ever had in a hotel well done girls x
Nice staff on check in, nice hot showers, little chilly by window but heating soon kicks in. Easy access to hotel at night. I was coming in late after work
