Acorn House Callander, hotel in Callander

Acorn House Callander offers accommodation set in Callander, 33 km from Loch Katrine and 47 km from Mugdock Country Park.

We really enjoyed our stay at Acorn House Callander. The room was spacious and bright and beautifully designed with attention to details - hairdryer, kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, sweetener provided (decaff version as well). The beds and the pillows were very comfortable. The hosts were very nice and accommodating and even invited us to have some carrot cake before we checked out. The bathroom was big, super clean and modern with hot water and clean towels. We felt like home 😊. Totally recommend it.

Callander is fantastic, we love it so much we keep going back. Very friendly people, wonderful location, great eating at the pubs and restaurants, and you have local shops to purchase what you need. My only thing is be mindeful of where your staying as if you need peace and quiet ask what time the music finishes....just saying. My favourite is the all year round Christmas shop....you've got to go it's amazing!!!!

Callander is a town surrounded by exceptional beauty but like a lot of towns has suffered from the pandemic and economic turmoil. It needs you! Help Callander get back to a bustling tourist location. It is a place for all seasons.

Nice, very safe, well kept, small town with good shops & restaurants, not far from Stirling. Although Roman Camp Hotel is very secluded, it’s actually on the Main Street, on the banks of the river Teith.

Callander is a lovely little town with plenty of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, take-aways and walks. The fisheries are beautiful, plenty of benches to sit at and walks around it. I had a fish supper from the Frying Dutchman which was superb, and the second night ate at The Riverside Inn which was equally as delicious. All very good prices. The wine shops are lovely and little gifts shops and plenty of cafes.

Breakfast excellent, and served to table by courteous and friendly staff. Room was large, secure and ideal. Bed was lovely and very comfortable ... Ideal! Everything was clean and tidy. Only a one night stay but will make this my first B&b search in the future whenever visiting Callander for a stay-over. Numerous nearby restaurants. Happy to recommend the Waverley Hotel for Dinner (a 10 minute walk away).

This was a splendid surprise during our journey through Scotland. A last minute change of plans forced us to book another room on our trip from Newcastle to Ullapool. The hotel surpassed all expectations, not the least because of the splendid library, conservatory etc. filled with magnificent books, very comfortable chairs, the fire-place... We certainly come back, for at least two nights.

A beautiful, cosy flat in a lovely location in Callander. The flat was so clean, homely, spacious and had everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Great communication with the hosts- easy to find, park the car and check in. We had a great weekend exploring the area. Lots of lovely walks from the flat and great cafes, pubs and shops close by.

Location is perfect, a really good base for a range of walks and activities. It's literally a 5 minute walk into Callander town centre and 6 minute drive to Loch Venachar. Hosts were so lovely and friendly, really made us feel super welcome and our Cavapoo loved them too! Very peaceful area, spacious, clean, modern. Definitely exceeded our expectations!

The owners are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great, and when I mentioned that my partner likes scones, Brian, the owner, prepared some for the five o'clock tea. The location is perfect - the village of callander, which is located in a perfect area for hiking. The room is large and convenient, with a small kitchen that is well equipped.

The location is ideal for exploring the nearby Loch Lomond and Trossacks National Park. It is also close to Callander, where there is a selection of pubs and restaurants and all the other emenities you might need. The only slight negative is the proximity to a fairly busy road, although this did not detract from the enjoyment of our stay

Breakfast was tasty. Bed was comfortable. Shower had good water pressure and consistent temperature. There was a shared refrigerator in the common room. Internet was acceptable. Parking was available nearby on the street. Great location for wandering Callander. Least expensive stay on our trip to date.

Good situation in a pleasant town within reach of Stirling and Loch Lomond. There was no allotted parking space but we had no problem with finding a space close to the apartment. The apartment was very clean and well equipped for our stay. The shower was absolutely fabulous.
