If you are looking for the quintessential English B&B stay, Stroud House is the place to stay. The cottage is charming and the bedrooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated. The breakfast area in the sun room has beautiful views of the garden. The breakfasts are delicious and Sarah is a great cook who puts a lot of effort into the preparation, such as the homemade granola and stewed fruit. Sarah is very friendly and welcoming. This is a lovely chalet in a great location for exploring the Isle of Wight. It is clean and decorated in a modern style. It's like a tardis and is actually much bigger and nicer on the inside than you think from the outside appearance. It would comfortably sleep 4 and the little extras like the coffee machine were much appreciated. We have stayed here twice and will no doubt be back again.

location was fabulous with the sea in front of the main bedroom and lounge windows, the sound of the waves and just watching the sea was very special. However, it was quiet which my husband and I really enjoyed but my son and daughter (in their 20's) would have preferred a little more in the way of a traditional bar being close by! The Waterfront restaurant was a very short walk (a few minutes) which was very good. Unfortunately the road to Colwell Bay was closed due to landslides. Jo our host was very good.

Romantic getaway in an excellent location, David and his wife were exceptionally nice, offering us lifts as we had no car and providing great local advice. Extremely spacious with access to beautifully taken care of gardens, an absolute bargain for the asking price.
