Loved the welcome, the food , the cosy, comfortable rooms...
Loved the welcome, the food , the cosy, comfortable rooms and the views; a breath of fresh air at Middle Flass Lodge. We marvelled at the incredible transformation from farmhouse/dwellings to the present day guest house. We enjoyed the experience of being tucked away in a forest setting. In the delightful nearby village of Bolton by Bowland we visited the beautiful little church, followed by an unexpected cream tea in the old post office/store, where Tim , the proprietor entertained us with local history & personalities. It is obviously good walking/trekking & horse riding countryside 'tho weather & aging limbs curtailed, for us, such activites a little.....there are some good pubs from which to choose . As there seems to be little in the way of public transport, it's good to have one's own form of transport. Needless to say, we enjoyed a delightful couple of days staying at Middle Flass Lodge, thanks in part to Joan & Nigel.SusanUnited Kingdom
