Gorgeous dog-friendly pub in a quiet location with friendly staff and great food. They were happy for me to place an order for a meal in the evening, even though the kitchen had technically closed an hour before. My room was fantastic - overlooking the neighbouring cricket field. The pub has a lot of history. Loved all the arty celebrity portraits dotted around too

The location was perfect with Hoppa buses to/from Gatwick in 10 minutes. Our room was spacious with twin beds as we requested. Our evening meal was excellent and the hotel was very clean.

Very dogfriendly.
The personel was really sweet and had eye for every detail.
We could relax and have the dogs with us all the time. Good time for everyone.

Breakfast was varied with the options pay for anything on the menu that wasn't included. The staff at breakfast were lovely and nothing appeared to be too much trouble. The room was fine and the beds comfortable - the shower great too.

We travelled there purely to meet up with Family who live in the area. Surrey is still a beautiful rural County in many parts. Driving off the Motorways through pretty leafy lanes enjoying the Architecture of its Villages is always a pleasure.

Beautiful picturesque village but pub although old and clean felt neglected . Accommodation needs upgrading dull and soulless rooms. We were expecting quaint old pub the bar was was OK but general feeling the property was in need of attention

The management staff were fantastic in dealing with some small issues. My sister and I were upgraded and very happy with the rooms. We had a few small issues over supper but these were acknowledged by the management and dealt with accordingly.
Because of a plane arriving much later into Gatwick than planned , I arrived at the hotel after closing hours . I had already contacted them to say that there was this possibility but it was not a problem and they advised me that the key would be in the door of my booked room .much appreciated after a long journey.
The hotel was in a quiet countryside setting with a restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The food in the restaurant was lovely.
The room was stocked with tea, coffee, biscuits and water. The bed was comfortable and the room was extremely clean.
It was good to have food and drink available at one site.
Host Mark / owner was fantastic. Very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Perfect location if you need to go to Gatwick Airport and you don’t like to stay in clinical hotel rooms. Staff were great and the locals were very friendly.
We like the big room with the extra large double bed. Nice bathroom lots of space. TV worked for a little while and then we lost sound. It's a very beautiful heritage hotel and pub
