Anstruther is a lovely and lively little town in the beautiful East Neuk of Fife. It has a very picturesque harbour, good eating places, including the wonderful and award-winning Anstruther Fish Bar, a number of interesting shops and a well-stocked Co-op. It is within easy reach of other lovely little East Neuk towns/villages, including St Monans, Pittenweem and Crail, and the university town of St Andrews, which is a must for visitors to the area. The RNLI shop at Anstruther harbour has a really good selection of little presents to take home to loved ones, including the iconic yellow wellies for little feet!Elizabeth - 10Scored 10

The cottage was in a great position for a view of Anstruther and a 5min drive to the seaside front was ideal. Anstruther is a great fishing village, with plenty of cafes and restaurants for all needs, with easy access and parking along the front, with a 5min drive either way to other quaint fishing villages. The house has lots of children’s books and games, which we didn’t use but would be great for a family with younger children. The kitchen was well-equipped and the TV and Wi-Fi worked very well. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were clean, and the showers worked well. The Dreel Tavern across the road is a great location for dinner.JohnAustria

It is an ideal house for a family break and the back garden is secure for children. We were also met by the host who showed us around the house and made sure we knew how everything worked. Thankyou very much Anstruther and the East Neuk of Fife is really beautiful and we had suberb weather.

Location was excellent for walking into Anstruther for the morning paper and if you wanted to have breakfast out. We used the bus service into St Andrew's which was really good and we recommend the putting at the old course.
