Tours is a nice walkable city. The 'old town' is picturesque and the more modern side has lots of shops. Lots of bars, cafes and restaurants to choose from. There are lots of tourist attractions including gthe cathedral of course. Also there is a large tourist office with helpful staff to help organise day trips to Chateaus etc. Transport links are very good with a station close to the city centre.

It was very easy to find the hotel, even though it was in the middle of the city. The hotel sent directions in advance of adjacent underground parking which was a real help.
We recommend La Plume Blanche in the Place Plumereau

Beautiful cathedrals and a charming city centre, spread out...
Beautiful cathedrals and a charming city centre, spread out along the Loire river. The trams and busses are easy enough to figure out. The brochures describe the 'gastronomic' experience that awaits, but that must apparently be researched and booked in advance. Strolling around the old medieval streets without a booking, we found more kebab shops and bars than gourmet restaurants, but perhaps we were in the wrong place.

Tours was a wonderful city with a lively night life, historic sites and lots of high quality wine and food at every turn. There was very little car traffic in many parts of the old city, so walking around, is great. I’d love to go back and explore more.

I choose Tours as a base camp for exxploring the Loire...
I choose Tours as a base camp for exxploring the Loire valley up and down by train and bike. This did work out, just beware of the train schedule. It is very sparse except on weekends. Tours itself turned out to be more attractive than I had expected.
A beautiful B&B with beamed rooms and a lovely garden to sit out as it was so hot when we visited. homemade yoghurts and jams for breakfast, and some of the best baguette and croissants I have tasted (and I have tasted a few). A short drive from lovely Tours which has a million dinner options. The perfect B&B. I could even charge my car there overnight, albeit at 3.7kW.
Hôtel kept to Covid care. Hand solution at many points within the hotel. Breakfast was very good. Choice excellent. We will be back. And do recommend to others. Hôtel position easy to find on the exterior of main city of Tours. Other guests have said restaurant choice near by is good, and this is very correct. We just walked next door.
Very good position and that the hotel had parking. The bathroom was all new so very clean the only thing that let it down was the carpet didn’t look clean. It probably was but it was a dog friendly room so laminate flooring would be better. The breakfast was good plenty to choose from. The hotel staff all very polite and friendly.
Perfect stopover apartment, especially if you have a dog and opt for a balcony. There is a super park less than 5 mins away and the shopping centre across the road is dog friendly. It also has a Monoprix for groceries. Extra charge for the dog was €12. On street and the hotel’s own surface level parking appeared to be free.
Ed Ellen’s location 3 min walk to train station and excellent restaurants. clean large rooms, great coffee and tea selection in room. pool and hot tub were a. ice treat. staff friendly, and breakfast Buffett was very yummy with lots of selections of cheese, pastry, eggs, fruits, yogurts. best breakfast highly recommended.
The hosts Cyril & David were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast has an amazing selection. The place itself is very welcoming, clean and with a stylish decoration. The location is perfect in the downtown center of Tours. Few minutes 30 min car ride to the castle of Chenonceaux! We will come back!
great location in the centre of Tours .24hr parking next door
friendly staff
great room
dog friendly …no list of things I couldn’t do with my dog which was a great relief .
was catching a late ferry so requested a late checkout and was given a complementary late checkout until 2pm which was really useful .
The apartment was crystal clean, well furnished, and extremely well placed at the heart of Tours.
The process for doing the check-in and check-out was well explained andit didn't take too long to get into the apartment.
In summary, we highly recommend to stay at this place.
Fantastic location, bars, restaurants, the river and sites all right on your doorstep and within minutes of the hotel. Perfect base to explore Tours. Really helpful team who helped us with parking. Clean, quiet and comfortable rooms. We love our stay here!
Breakfast very good, nice room for it. Decor of hotel tasteful, calm. Very clean. Rooms are more spacious than in a modern hotel, but bathroom very small. Owner/manager very helpful. Very convenient parking.
Location of this hotel absolutely best. Just beside a supermarket, river side and close to the centre to name a few. There is a standing fan available in the apartments. All in all a comfy stay.
Apartment is in perfect location. Next to train station and parking space is next to the apartment. Free parking badge provide by owner saved us 20 euro a day. Better stay here than in a hotel.
