the kindness of the young girl at the reception who tried to make our stay pleasant. The courtesy of the waitress at the restaurant who changed the dish because it was not the fish that had been advertised on the menu (overcooked tuna served instead of the swordfish on the menu)

We have stayed in Saverne several times as it is a convenient place to break the drive down to Southern France. It never disappoints, we have always been at Christmas time and the high street has wonderful decorations and Christmas lights. The Christmas market is fun and theres Vin chad and waffles, burgers etc and an ice rink for the children.

Very pretty, especially the rose garden.
Very pretty, especially the rose garden. The museum is ok - cool which was a bonus as we were there in the heatwave. Restaurants seem to keep opening hours secret so eating out was patchy. Would recommend the Lebanese which wasn't far from the apartment. The Stebuel close to us wasn't accessible being down stairs to the restaurant then treacherous stairs to the toilets. It's great watching boats go through the lock that takes the canal under the road beside the main square.
I 'visited' Saverne because unfortunately my camper broke down and was towed to a garage in a nearby village. I was happy to find this location, because it was really clean, all new and fresh (renovated 2 years ago it seems), very spacious, fully equipped, close to multiple supermarkets and the Saverne 'centre' and rather cheap! Communication was quick and the instructions where clear.
This apartment was such a comfortable place to stay. It felt so homely and welcoming. Sandrine was on time with meeting us and went to great lengths to communicate taking into account my bad French. Saverne is a lovely small town great for a short stay while we were cycling the canals. our bikes were safely stored. Our host treated us to refreshments and pretzels!
We thought the flat was lovely. It was nicely decorated, well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and nice views. The location is very close to the centre of Saverne and some good bars and restaurants. The owner responded quickly to my queries.
The room was larger than expected and very nicely laid out. We liked that we could open the windows for fresh air. The hotel was very quiet and the staff was friendly and efficient. Their COVID protocols were excellent.
Wonderful hotel. Very friendly, kind staff. Lovely ambience and really good breakfast.
So glad we stayed here whilst walking the GR5. We didn't have dinner but the dining room is really nice.
Lovely family hotel in the French Vosges. Really well kept rooms, friendly English speaking staff and for us an excellent stopover on our journey back from Switzerland.
We can definitely recommend this place. The view from the room is absolutely stunning and the restaurant in the hotel is outstanding. We will definitely come back.
The breakfast was delivered to our room and was good. The hotel is in a historic mansion high up the Haut Barr, and the view from our room was incredible.
