Paris is a lively place. So many things to see. Beautiful nature and cultural buildings. Nice coffee shops to sit, have coffee and look at people passing by. The smell of public bathrooms are intolerable.

Ideal city to simply visit and experience with no specific destinations or itinerary. Every walk can be an immersion in history with the small plaque markers and little statues everywhere. And every unhurried cafe visit can be a cultural experience - especially if you learn some French before your visit. Favorite place to stay is in the 6th arrondissement .

Whatever your interests Paris can accommodate them.
Whatever your interests Paris can accommodate them. We have a particular interest in art and architecture. Our art meanderings took us from the Impressionist exhibition at the Musee d’Orsay to the Brancusi exhibit at the Pompidou Center; our architecture excursions took us from the glory of the new Frank Gehry building at Fondation Louis Vuitton to the splendor of the Palais Garnier opera house. You have to love a city with the sophistication to recognize beauty in many different forms.

If you are not used to large metropolitan areas the noise and crowds in Paris will have a negative impact on your impression. We were expecting crowds, but we couldn't imagine the scale we met in reality. And thats just from sites viewing - we didn't go in any museums for example.
The amount of history per square meter is insanely high - you can see so much landmarks from different periods of history in a short period of time. Buildings and monuments are beautiful and vary enough to make wandering around worth it.

What a great city - sadly we experienced the maintenance and building works preparing the "grand lady" for the Olympics and there was a bit of chaos getting around to the sites...but a stunning city - and Parisiennes are much more friendly (and tolerant) than when I last visited many years ago
Beautiful boutique hotel located next to the St Severin Catholic Church in a leafy street within the Latin Quarter. The rooms were wonderful - the nicest rooms we’ve ever had in Paris. Beautiful big sunny rooms with windows that open or air conditioning, whichever you prefer. Super comfortable beds and everything spotlessly clean.
Nice breakfast, includes bacon and eggs in addition to what you’d normally expect for breakfast in France.
5 minutes walk to the left bank of the Seine, 10 minutes to Notre Dame and Isle St Louis.
The front desk people were extremely helpful, especially, Eloise. She went out of her way to help us with directions, maps, finding buses, metro, etc. She was always positive and cheerful. We were at Hotel E. L. for the first 6 days of a 3 week tour of France, and she really stands out as an advertisement for your country. Plus, our French was poor and her English was great.
The breakfasts were good, plenty of a wide array of food.
Location was good . Facilities very clean.
Thank you for a good start to our trip.
For such a central location, I think the price we paid was worth it. There were much cheaper options outside the city centre but we thought the convenience of being in such a central and lively part of town was worth it. The room was small as is in every typical hotel room in Paris. But it was clean, had comfy beds, a nice window and view and airconditioning, which we needed the most when we went in the summer. They also have free luggage storage and breakfast for an additional fee (restaurant was at the ground floor).
It’s not a big place, but cozy! We arrived earlier than the check-in, but the great receptionist Olga has checked us in right away, it was very nice after a trip between cities. Internet was good, which was strange to me as two other hotels we stayed were with terrible internet. The room has all necessary facilities you require, it small but cozy. The breakfast is standard in Paris :) Overall it was a great 1-day stay. We could compare the stay at 3 hotels in France, this one was the best! thanks
Hotel was beautifully presented and in such a good location. Montmarte is definitely the place to stay in Paris. The staff were really friendly and the rooms were such good value for money compared to other hotels in Paris. Really good bars, restaurants and cafes as soon as you walk out of the hotel. We managed to walk to most of the attractions but the metro is the best and cheapest way once you get sick of walking. Will definitely be coming back here on our next visit to Paris!
The superlative location of the hotel made the stay wonderful with terrific restaurants in the next block. The hotel is beautiful, with all the traditional and ornate charm I had hoped for in Paris. The breakfast was delicious and varied. Loved the cafe au lait! The staff was both professional and welcoming. Our room was quiet and cool even with the unusual heat which had struck France. The beds were comfortable and separate so we both got a restful sleep.
The hotel staffs were very kind to me May be since I am french but they met all my expectations. I have opted for breakfast and one day when they were no more baguette, they were kind enough to go get fresh baguette from a nearby boulangerie and called me to let me know. Overall this was a pleasant stay for my family compared to another hotel in France which was not up to the Parisian standard (worse space talking from a Paris expectations).
The hotel itself is beautifully appointed. From the moment I arrived, the warmth and professionalism of the front desk team, including Francesca, Aurélie, Philippe, Régis, and Ryan, made me feel right at home.
My room was comfortable, well-maintained, and provided a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the city. The location in the 8th arrondissement is perfect for sightseeing, with easy access to many of Paris’s iconic attractions.
Fantastic customer service from the duty manager. I have forgot his name but wanted to recognize him for the great support, attention and real customer service from him. It started already when we parked the car to unload the suitcases and he was very prompt with parking instructions and later with some small issues we had. He is originally from Vietnam but lives in France for many years and is a true great asset for the hotel. Thanks!
Loved our stay at Hotel Gustave. We had an AMAZING view of the Eiffel Tower from our room! Probably the cheapest hotel I could find with a view like it. Our room was very clean and a decent size for Paris standards. Staff were friendly and there was welcome cake/tea in the foyer which was a nice touch. There are 2 metro stations close by, an easy walk to/from the hotel. Had to use the metro to get to most of the main attractions.
I was expecting a much bigger bedroom - the picture from the hotel was misleading. It was really tiny, same for bathroom. I presume that there are very different 3 stars hotels in Paris, so I will look for something less cheap next time, but with bigger room.
Location was of course convenient, you are very close from the main center, there are nice bars and restaurants around. And... the price was still competitive.
The staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel was perfectly located - very close to metro stations, quick and easy to get to stade de france, eurostar and city centre. The hotel and rooms were spotless and beds very comfortable and it was all for a very reasonable price. Nice walk to Sacre Coeur and lovely restaurants nearby. I would definitely recommend and return again.
Spacious room ,good lights and internet connection.I was particularly impressed by water hose in the bathroom which is unique among hotels in France.Breafast is amazing. The hotel is centrally located and 5 minute walk to the Arc de triumph and the champs. It is also connected to a mall.
My friends and I stayed here twice once in September once in October, I found the staff very friendly. They helped us find a solution for storing our luggage for over 3 weeks while we were on a bike tour in France. I plan to stay here the next time I visit Paris.
Great location. Nice, quaint hotel with homey feel. France was very helpful in accommodating my family with a larger room with a view. It was our first visit to Paris and he upgraded us to a larger room near the end of our stay. Paul and Nelson were kind as well.
Very good cheap-and-cheerful hotel in a fabulous location in the Marais - easy walk to the best restaurants, shops and street, as well as the Metro. Highly recommended for those who just want a good room to sleep in the best neighbourhood in Paris.
super close to the metro, restaurants and market. comfortable bed, room always clean and fresh towels. there is a lift and we had a balcony that led to the street which was nice. cheaper than other hotels in paris. Friendly staff
During the covid shutdown we stayed in various hotels in Paris. Thankfully the Amiral hotel has reopened - it is by far the best 4*, not the cheapest but well worth the extra. And the heated indoor pool is just too.
Best everything at this hotel! Fabulous view of a super cool courtyard! Great tub! Location the best! The food really good! The people here are the kindest in all of France! Thank you so much!
