Paimpol is a large town compared with many of its neighbours. There are plenty of shops and restaurants but we did not find any outstandingly good. It came to life on the Tuesday with a very large market which occupies several streets and squares in the town. The bars were full and the atmosphere was lively.

Great Easter weather brought out lots of people and the place was buzzing. Very few Brits evident, not sure why. Excellent seafood restaurants at sensible prices as lots of competition. Town and coast great for walking and cycling. We brought our bikes and cycled to a train station up the river and came back on the train - a suggestion from the Tourist Information office, which is nearby. We have been to Brittany many times, but first visit here, a great find and now one of our favourite places.
We loved everything about this property. The wonderful hostess cooked us two absolutely delicious meals including a blue lobster which came straight from the sea and delivered by the fisherman. The decor was superb. Breakfasts were delicious and it was a pleasure to sit in the pretty dining room and look out to the sea in the distance. Our bedroom was amazing. Everything on the interior of this beautiful hotel was absolutely perfect. Thank you to our lovely hostess for her hard work in ensuring that we had the highest level of comfort.
I had a decent quiet little room facing the back of the hotel. No particular view or garden but it was clean and I liked the fact it supplied a kettle and tea (not always the case in French hotels). I also liked the small lobby area where the breakfast was served. I believe the restaurant serves very good food, however it was closed on the Sunday evening when I arrived. I thought the staff I met were very friendly.
Old country house on the edge of Paimpol, contemporary restored, attractively inside and outside, very clean and arranged. Contact with landlords without problems, but in French.
Pro: kitchen generous and technically modernly equipped WiFi with high quality,
TV with internet access
Terrace to the south, protected
Storage room for bicycles can be locked
Con: Nothing found.
I took a room with a port view, what you see in the photo is what you see out your window. It is “downtown” so noisier at night. Well worth exploring the coastal walking route GR34, north & south from the town. Treguier easy bus ride (though not frequent). You can rent an e-bike from Haute Keranos hotel, about a mile out of town.
The location was superb right on the square in Paimpol. We loved standing on the little balcony watching the world go by. The bustling quayside was literally then just around the corner. There were wonderful bars, cafes and restaurants all around. We found the locals very friendly and welcoming.
A small and very charming hotel, nicely located. The hosts were very friendly and supportive giving us good advice about the area. Enjoyed this stay a lot and plan to come back. Thank you!
Wonderful location in the centre of Paimpol
Very large , bright and clean apartment with balcony
Staff very warm and accommodating
Secure on site parking (fee for the gated section )
The room (and the whole hotel) was furnished in a really stylish way.
It was super cozy and the owners were extremely nice.
Last but not least, we were served a very rich breakfast .
Nice little hotel in a lovely small town. At the harbour, next to the city center with many shops and restaurants - the Crêperie Les Alizés was awesome!
