We stayed at this hotel on our journey from the UK to France. It's conveniently located in about 30 minutes from Calais in a very quiet rural area. The hotel is a character building converted from the old water mill, and that itself is already fascinating. It's owned by a lovely young family and they created a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Rooms are spacious and warm, beds are very comfortable. We can only highly recommend!

Quiet location within walking distance of the lake and town. Comfortable room - we slept really well. Great parking. Lovely breakfast, including croissant, baguette, homemade jams, crepes and eggs (layed by their free/range chickens). Fanatastic warm and fruendly hosts. This is a great place to stay, within 30 minutes of the Channell Tunnell.

The apartment was exceptionally clean and very tastefully furnished. The welcome cocktail was a wonderful surprise, and the breakfast basket was lovely. Views of the lake were fabulous, both from the garden and the apartment. To top it all, the bed was extremely comfortable and we had a great night's sleep.

The hotel was just what we were looking for as two pilgrims on the Francigena. The hostess was extremely nice and accommodating, providing us with every necessity (even a lift to the nearby supermarket). The dinner was made with love: warm and wholesome. The room was large and airy, as was the bathroom. All in all, we felt at home in the perfect place to recover from our long walk.
The new owners are young couple are very eager to please and friendly.
The old Mill house is charming and has been incorporated into the main building very cleverly.
Basis. However be prepared and aware this is now a bed and breakfast establishment rather than a full hotel.
But I feel the Young couple who now own the property deserve all of the success and support they can get.
