They accommodated a late arrival rather than other places on yourt site who just were not interested. The room was clean and view was really lovely, especially if you are on a higher floor as we were. I did not state a preference for a quiet room as per your previous question. Did not try the pool as it was not heated and it was chilly in the morning. We were hardly there so cannot comment for more than a one day time period. It is good for self sufficient travellers who are there to do outside activities rather than live in a hotel.. so great for us. As a bonus, 5 mins drive or 10 mins stroll away is the village centre and a lovely hotel for reasonably priced, delicious cooked breakfasts - Le Petit Auberge.

Castellane is a beautiful village with some of the most fascinating natural gorges, rivers and mountains in France. The restaurants and shops were lovely with good food everywhere. We had a charming little balcony which let us enjoy watching life in the town piazza.

Good location for local excursions, several restaurants in walking distance. Clean, well kept hotel. Nice rooms (ours has a little balcony with a view), quiet, parking in the back is a big plus. Very good breakfast buffet.

Lovely place. Nice enough beds. Large dining area with lovely huge tables. I went for the double bed in the 3 bed room, so that I could have privacy .. but it was early enough that I shared the whole space with very few people, so it was nice to have a bit more space to myself. Salima was such a gracious host! She was very helpful and cheerful and always trying to help out!
