The house was charming - historic, with beautiful entries, large hallways, and an attractive courtyard. The rooms were clean and very spacious. The bathrooms were pristine. The location was perfect - many shops and restaurants in the wonderful old part of the city are within a short walk.

The town is centrally located for those who want to explore Anaga National Park. The distance to get there is only 40 minutes. The town itself, you will get everything that you want. There are places where you can find restaurants, souvenirs, hotels, and so on.

This was a wonderful place to stay.
This was a wonderful place to stay. The room was clean and very functional. Having the area downstairs for meals was very nice.
The owner/caretaker was quite lovely and very accommodating.
The location was off the main area by a little bit, which we appreciated. We didn't want to be in a heavily populated area and enjoyed the peace and quiet. It was nice to go on the back deck and watch the sunrise, sunset, and night stars. The security gate around the property was comforting.
The parking was acceptable and became a game for us to get our car parked, then back on the driveway in one turn.
Being in the more northern part of Tenerife, it was a drive to go to the south end of the island. One morning we got caught in the traffic and almost missed our planned event. But, having said that, it was totally worth the homeyness and price. We will definitely use this place again!

Lovely old historic town which forms a base for also visiting Santa Cruz. Lots of bars and restaurants. The old buildings are frequently open to visitors. It is easy to walk around the old town which is set out in a grid pattern so difficult to get lost.

Second time staying and enjoyed it just as much.
Second time staying and enjoyed it just as much. Rooms are beautiful and well kept.
There is a small kitchenette but for some reason is has no cutlery ?? Nor did they provide any coffee or tea etc.. Bit strange?
The breakfast is high quality and plentiful.
Apart from that it's a great hotel in a great location for the town and to use as a base for the area. Their private carpark is €10 per night but the open CP is €7.50 PN BUT it gets rammed so I'd advise you to book the hotel CP.

Beautiful old town with a lot of interesting architecture and many pedestrian streets. Driving in with a car was a bit of a nightmare, as there is lots of traffic and parking is difficult. Beware of any restaurants that don't have price lists. We ate at Bodegon Tocuyo, no price lists & rips off tourists.

The town was exceeding my expectations, and it is for good reasons that belongs to UNESCO heritage.
The hotel did not meet the expectations, not deserving the four starts. Indeed, it has a good base to get the four stars for the valuable heritage it has, but the services need to be improved. Did not prove value for money.
We picked this location as an overnight between flights and didn’t expect much more than a bed. We were pleasantly surprised to find a very welcoming establishment, eager to share their city and their island. The room is very well equipped, well located for exploring La Laguna and eating in a selection of good restaurants. We will definitely return if passing through Tenerife north again, and hopefully for longer so we can profit from the area.
I love the location right in the pedestrian area of the old town. I love the old world charm of the hotel, and the good quality of everything. It felt elegant and simple and clean and homey, all at the same time. Very welcoming. And the café downstairs is great, also the little artisan shop off of the café. And the hotel is somehow very quaint! I’m sure every room is different and has its own charm. I know I loved my room.
The staff were courteous, knowledgeable, friendly, and spoke good English. The hotel has a bar/coffee shop in the courtyard where people can lounge around on couches. There's a gym, pool, and a jacuzzi on the roof top. The asian-fusion restaurant Malaka and wine tasting Vinoteca of La Laguna Gran Hotel is adjacent to the hotel. Within minutes you can walk out of the hotel and explore the Old Town.
We had booked the two bedroom apartment and it was everything we needed. The kick had absolutely everything to cook a nice meal. The washer and dryer work flawlessly. Beds were comfortable. Bedrooms have a lot of storage space.
The location is close to the old town, are there are may restaurants and stores. The public transportation that connects La Laguna to Santa Cruz is just around the corner
On arrival, we were met with our warm and welcoming host Miguel. My partner and I felt completely at ease as we were led to our room. The accommodation was clean, spacious and well- appointed, and in a superb location right in the centre of La Laguna. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this family-run hotel and would give it our highest recommendations.
It is a great stay for a group, in a quiet, remote place, but you can find a good cafe and also a supermarket nearby. The city center of La Laguna is just a 20 min walk, and the bus station is right next to the house.
The house is spacious, well equipped and very clean. It has a nice courtyard, a good place to relax.
La Asomada del Gato is magical. The courtyard full of tropical plants, flowers & fruit trees was so serine. Breakfast was great with fresh squeezed orange juice. It is very close to all the historicl sites & restaurants. Loved LA Laguna, definitely a must see town while in Tenerife.
The place was such a wonderful experience, check-in to check-out and beyond. The owner makes you feel welcome and can answer questions about La Laguna and beyond.
The book theme is very pleasant and you truly feel like a book rat in a library. Wishing you many guests!
This was our 2nd stay as the Position of property is great for public transport & a lovely 10/15 minutes walk into La Laguna. Car parking available. Helpful host. Lovely continental breakfast with fresh orange juice & fruit & option for bacon & eggs.
- The person at the Reception, Javier, he was very gently to recommend us what to do in la Laguna, the restaurants he recommended us were amazing and also the Wine store he recommended us.
- The Room was clean, nothing to complaint
Very nice hosts. Clean, spacey, and especially high ceiling.
La Laguna is tranquile and the location is in the city but also a few minutes walking distance from a beautiful countryside.
We will be back.
The SD Hotel is a very nice place to stay. The crew is is very friendly and the hotel is relaxed and located at a quite location not too far from La Laguna center. I would always recommend to stay there.
Excellent location near the old town, and vey walkable. Across the street from the public parking lot. Historic hotel with modern facilities, generous breakfast and excellent dinner restaurant
Beautiful property in the heart of gorgeous La Laguna. Sparkling clean, crispy fresh linens, lovely people, killer breakfast. Elegant place. Loved it all.
