The room, the cleanliness, the proximity to the airport, the free shuttle, the hotel restaurant where we had dinner. The food was delicious. The staff at the front desk and the waiters were very polite and very nice.

Early morning 6:00am flight out of Barcelona, staying at the airport was the only logical answer. I had an early dinner at a very nice cafe with delicious food adjacent to Sleep&Fly. In the early morning I was able to zip down the corridor to airport check-in, in good time.

My flight having been delayed by 2 hours, I arrived at the Hotel well after midnight. As the reception was not open, the hotel sent very clear messages both in Spanish and in English and short videos explaining how to access the building, and my room.

The location was great, near metro station Centric. The journey is approx 40 mins into the centre of Barcelona and 12 mins to the airport. The metro runs 05.00 to 00.00 sun to Thurs, and 02.00 on Fri and sat. The hostel was very clean and modern. The curtains around the bed were great for providing privacy and necessary for guests checking in and out throughout the night. The hostel provides a full size locker with a key which fits a large suitcase The kitchen facilities were also good and clean. I felt secure in the hostel. There is a fitness centre across the road €7 per day.

We went there because it was close to the airport and we had a flight early the next day. It was good for what we needed. we were up at 4:30 and the person on reception kindely gave us a take away snack bag for breakfast.

Compared to the similar hotels/hostals Cal Siles was far the best value. Although it's in a suburban area out of Barcelona but there is a metro station for 2 minutes walk which takes you to the city and what's even better, it takes you to the airport in less then 10 minutes.
