The place is located in a magical place. You can enjoy a breathtaking view on a lake between desert and olive grove from your balcony or a terrace on a roof or even from a garden. We were here in a low season, so we were the only guests in the hotel. My youngest kid enjoyed the pool))
Tache By The Lake features accommodation in Fayoum Center. Boasting room service, this property also provides guests with a terrace.

At Tache-by-the-Lake we were greeted by three young guys who didn’t speak English. The only way we could communicate verbally with anyone working there was by talking to the absentee owner/manager on the phone. We were booked for three days and two nights, in the hopes of exploring the National Park and the whale skeletons in Wadi Al Hittan. The hotel vehicle was unavailable, but the owner/manager said he would arrive the following morning. There was not much to do on-site without a vehicle, so we walked around the hotel, noticing all the garbage. Tache-by-the-Lake is situated in the desert, and the sand around the buildings is full of litter and broken glass. We walked down to the lake, and discovered that it too was full of garbage! No one bothers to keep the area clean! The room was quaint and clean, however the bathroom lacked such niceties as shampoo and conditioner. Units have an attached porch, which also had litter and ashtrays full of cigarette butts from previous guests. The following day no one showed up to provide us with a vehicle/driver, and we were told we would have to wait until our last day to obtain one. Disappointed, we decided to walk to the waterfall area, and the rest of the day was spent amongst the sand and garbage. The place seemed oddly empty with the exception of the young guys we met on arrival, who also did the cooking. Food was good but service was lacking. Tea or coffee was never offered, and when we requested coffee at breakfast, it took forever to arrive. Desert campfires were never offered, so there was nothing to do at night.

Very peaceful, amazing and unique lodge in Egypt. I would never have expected such a great place and services in the middle of the countryside. Outstanding quality in the materials used in the rooms and around the swimming pool with a lot of taste and a poetic artistic touch in the decoration. Very friendly staff (Ringo was our host, an amazing person willing to make you enjoy your stay). The region is also beautiful with breathtaking natural landscapes in the desert and UNESCO sites to visit. Thank you

This is a clean and well-equiped flat in the heart of Fayyum City. There is a washing machine and a hair-drier too.
Beautiful genuine place. People are very friendly and talented. Amazing pottery works and workshops. A lot of activities like horse riding, pottery lessons, birds watching and boats in the lake. The place is very calm, relaxing and safe. Local eating places serving delicious authentic Egyptian dishes like feteer and roasted ducks also there was a good restaurant offering Lebanese cuisine. Going arround is really easy as it is all happening in almost one street. If one gets tired you can easily get a toktok for a very few pounds.

The hotel is overlooking Karoun lake (third largest lake in Egypt). It’s a historic hotel where many world leaders stayed-the most famous was Winston Churchill. It kept some of its old glory in contrast with the simple and somewhat under developed city of Fayoum. Near by attractions are the little village of Tunis known for its famous pottery shops. If you have time you should also consider a safari trip into what is known as the valley of whales where many fossilized whale skeletons have been discovered; an unforgettable experience.

Hotel is 1.5 h away from Cairo, such a beautiful and quite place with very kind stuff
the place in front of KAROON lake, and it does collect so many memorial cinema events from the 70s and 80s.
I recommend it as a short trip for couples who need to relax away from the noise of the city.
