It was okayish. The rooms were fine and one could say they are quite okayish. There is nothing spectacular. It is good average, I woud say and everything is clean.

Everything was perfect. A terrific room, very quiet, and a location quite close to friends who we were visiting. Beautiful setting with walking paths in the woods nearby. We have stayed here 3 times, and each time we look forward to our next stay!

I can recommend that quaint town to everyone who enjoys walking up some hills without getting too exhausted - Großer Feldberg or Altkönig are just perfect for that purpose... until one just needs to make it to over a kilometre above the sea level! And the swimming pool is much spot on, especially past 6 pm.

Königstein is one of the wealthiest commuter towns in the Frankfurt am Main region. It has a pleasant old town which is worth walking in. Google Maps says walks are "Mostly flat". Of course, that is a subjective evaluation changes (about 500 meters up and down). For us, coming from a very flat Berlin, it understates the elevation which is not the Matterhorn, but is definitely not a "mostly flat" walk. So wear comfortable walking shoes. We had dinner at the Landgut Falkenstein which is a very chic hotel location with a very good restaurant, but the prices reflect the expensive location.

It's a atmospheric small town in the hills north of Frankfurt, ideal for hiking and cycling in the super-clean air. The forests surrounding it are endless. It's a high-end place to live, so there are also nice cafes and plenty of restaurants, and some very nice shops. Oh yes, and make sure to visit the castle and climb its tower for wide-ranging views…

Beautiful historical town, great sightseeing.
Beautiful historical town, great sightseeing. The Altstadt is unique, worth visiting. The variety of foods is incredible, from typical german to Italian, turkish and mexican. Everything is a few steps away from Stadtmitte. Tourists may take S5 from Frankfurt Hbf to Oberursel Bahnhof and then ride 15 minutes on the X27 Bus to Königstein Stadtmitte. Don’t forget to visit the Opel Zoo!!

Never thought that Frankfurt (being a commercial centre and having stayed in countless hotels in the city centre) could offer such a great destination hotel with majestic buildings, beautifully-landscaped gardens, mountain top views, very spacious suites, awesome bar and restaurant and a feeling of being completely zen.. I am surprised as to the lower score on this property but this will become a go-to property for our family.
We chose this hotel as it was a reasonable distance by train from Frankfurt from Königstein station. (We arrived by car.) However, note that the actual center of Königstein is at least a 30 min walk, and the hotel is in the woods, best reached by car. Due to circumstances we did not have enough time to enjoy breakfast and the spa facilities, so cannot comment on that unfortunately. Room was clean and comfortable, but simple.
The hotel is really nice, they have really good breakfast with porridge and cool sandwiches. Fruits and good coffee. They have no lunch but they have restaurant which works from 18:00 every day, you need to book a table. The pool, sauna and steam room also nice, hotel is really clean and staff is nice. We took a bold room, it is not really big, but for couple of days I think it is okay.
The hotel is located in a quiet area, despite being not far from Frankfurt. Easy parking on their private space. The rooms are comfortable and we had one of the best breakfast we had recently: plenty of opitons and some home-made products. I would really recommend this hotel.
The food was experimental. The basic products of the best quality with a new flavor.
Pool and Sauna are nice, modern and very clean. The hotel is big, with a lot of light. The staff is very friendly.
