This fascinating new hotel is a converted prison, offering both cell-style and conventional rooms.

The hotel is really cool and I like how they kept some of the old prison features. I had a small room which was perfect for my short stay. The room provided everything I needed and I appreciated the breakfast. Parking was easy, too.

Location was perfect. The hotel is located in the city center right next to the K in Lautern shopping center. It is within walking distance of great restaurants, shops, bars and clubs. On site parking is also offered, which was very convenient and at a good price. My room was very nice - single that was cozy and had a nice bathroom. Breakfast was good - has all the essentials for a healthy breakfast. The staff was amazing! So friendly, so helpful and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

The town is beautiful, walkable, safe - with many fascinating shops, restaurants and outdoor cafes, public parks, delicious bakeries, and some impressive things for tourists to visit - two museums each of which was excellent (one had a touring exhibit of an internationally famous modern artist, the other is a local history museum which is fascinating), the Japanese garden, the synagogue memorial - which was beautifully thought out, understated, and sensitive - and because Kaiserslautern is so close to Ramstein, everyone in the shops and restaurants speaks English and they understand, and are kind to, confused American tourists! Everyone I met was courteous, helpful, friendly. Do not miss: the two museums, the synagogue memorial (very thoughtful, sensitive, and thought provoking), the beautiful churches, etc.

the Hotel has no AC.
the Hotel has no AC. It was one of the worst experiences of my vacation. For a hotel that size, location, name recognition and star rating this hotel needs AC so customers can enjoy their stays during summer time there.

Late booking, more as a stopover, as all other more touristy cities hadn’t the number of reservations we required for our party.
Nothing really to see as a tourist but nice restaurants and pedestrian areas to enjoy a coffee or beer.

Kaiserslautern, in the heart of Palatinate ("Pfalz"), as well as the whole region is a very nice area. Very green, beautiful nature, nice people and because of thousands of US troops in this community, almost everywhere you can speak English and you'll be understood. No big cities nearby, if you want that, you gotta drive around 60km.
The only good thing about this hotel was its location. The rest of my stay here was a total nightmare! They seem to really hate their customers and don't seem to like being in the hospitality business. Also the wifi does not work and is a jerry rigged joke. See the pictures below of the super long Ethernet cable they have stringed from a router on the first floor all the way up to the third flow. INCREDIBLY RUDE and virtual NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. They don't deserve your money or your business. See below for more information!
Truly, one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Excellent value for money, spacious rooms with everything you need, including "living room" space and a large TV screen. Excellent design and function of each space in the room. Perfect for relaxing or business trip with everything you need. Amazing bathroom, spacious and comfortable. Lovely breakfast and staff, catering to all your needs and being respectful and courteous. Exceptional place!
The host was so helpful, hospitable, and generous with his time. Really gave me a good impression of Kaiserslautern and offered a lot of help. The place was quite big by my standards and the kitchen was pretty much fully equipped. The wooden interior and quirkily colored walls make the space quite uplifting. There was a balcony which is a huge plus, as well as a well-working fan and radiator system.
This is a nice, newly renovated apartment in Kaiserslautern. It is well located in the city center, you can reach the train station easily by foot. The apartment itself is really fresh, all appliances are new (note that it is located at the second floor, and you have to use stairs). It was very easy to do the check-in with the instructions provided. I recommend this place at Kaiserslautern.
It's perhaps the perfect hotel. The absence of a reception proves that the idea is probably outdated as there's really nothing negative to say about this great hotel. The way the rooms are decorated, the provision of very high quality complimentary and paid-for refreshments and an absolutely superb breakfast in a very comfortable dining room.
It’s very cozy hotel, clean and lovely place to stay as a couple of as a family! It got many options Helpful staff, facilities gym, parking and indoor/ outdoors restaurant vendor machines… were more than I’ve expected, very easy access from the highway and close to the center
The room is very adequate, more like a hotel than a B&B or hostel. What was really amazing was the possibility of automatic check-in with a code. The train (thank you Deutsche Bahn) had hours of delay, but I could enter the hotel and my room without any problems. Really good!
The location was great, very walkable. Host responded very quickly to any questions. It is a small apartment, but smartly laid out and my daughter and I were very comfortable. We much preferred staying in the tiny apartment to a hotel
Our favorite hotel in Germany. We love staying here when on the area. Rooms are super clean, spotless, bunk beds the kids love; overall room has a ton of space. Restaurant is awesome as well.
The room is very clean and I was pleasantly surprise since it was located in a house. Quiet and relaxing stay with great value. I would come back next time in I'm in Kaiserslautern.
