The self-service breakfast was excellent and we were lucky with the weather and ate in the sunny garden.

If you want to feel like a resident of the old city, then this place is exactly for you. The building is under state protection and much has been preserved here from old times. I really liked my stay, it was very unique.
The owner and personal are super friendly! Welcome drink was a very nice surprise 😋

The apartment was exceptionally well appointed and had everything we needed. It was modern and clean, but at the same time felt very homely and comfortable. Whilst we had almost no interaction with the host, the instructions given on arrival were very clear and it was nice to be left to our own devices. The location (on a farm) was good too, being only a shorty 2.5km walk to town.

It's a very attractive little lakeside town with a medieval centre, including intact and walkable fortification wall, and lots of nice places to eat. It is well-connected transport-wise for visits to nearby attractions like the roman ruins in Avenches or the (really well-worth visiting) 12th century abbey in Payerne. Lake boats ply daily (in summer) to Neuchatel.

Murten is vey intresting, bt very small.
Murten is vey intresting, bt very small. Take one day to visitMurten and go for a long walk in he forest, by the lake. A "promenade" by boat over the lake (very small) will provide views over the small villages around it. One day is enough for all.
Although the hotel is at the very far eastern end of Murten, that just means a very pleasant 10-15 minute walk into the centre on the lakeshore promenade, so that was fine. Breakfast was entirely self-serve (in these covid-19 times) but well presented and fully adequate. It's a very quiet location. For travellers by car, there seemed adequate on-site parking which is certainly not always the case for hotels in the middle of Murten.
Location was excellent for my needs. Very scenic. Clean room. Good strong wifi signal. Large bathroom. Though the price is higher than other hotels, a complimentary beverage is included in your stay, plus breakfast which was much more substantial than other hotel breakfasts. This, along with the great location, very clean atmosphere, and large room meant that the cost was actually a better value than most.
Morat was busy and this was the last room available 24 hours before. I was pleasantly surprised, the room and bathroom were clean and spacious although fairly spartan.
Breakfast was good and we were able to eat outside, enjoying the morning sun.
The warning of the DJ playing until 1.30am did not materialise. We did not hear a thing in our room, perfect night's sleep.
The hotel is very well located in the middle of the town, amidst restaurants and shops, closeby the lake for a swim. The hotel room was recently renovated, the old hardwood floors are giving it a nice atmosphere but the facilities are new. The owners are very committed and gave helpful tips and their restaurant on the ground floor is great for a nice dinner!
Fantastic room, very western in the sense that the bathroom was huge and the mattress topper actually created a real king bed feel, versus just two twins shoved together. Private terrace was a huge plus for morning coffee. Great craft soaps/shampoo. I look forward to staying at the Adler again!
We did have a nice stay at The Adler Hotel located in Murten village and was fantastic with all the staffs very friendly. I have to say, we got there quite late in the evening and the reception couldn't be better, a very nice glass of white wine, delicious. We pretend to be back soon. I recommend.
Great location on lake with large parks around it. Close walk up the hill to the historic city. Great breakfast as well. Rooms vary in size, but that is to be expected in Switzerland with renovated old buildings. Super gelato shop right across street - what's not to like?
Authentic character and charm. The entire staff could not have been nicer— Patrick was amazing! It was a rare chance to stay in a castle with amazing grounds, just a mile away from historic Murten - Morat. We loved every minute of our stay!
The couple who manage this place is simply lovely, great welcome and treat, and even greater breakfast. The site is clean, right next to the train station and 10min walking from the old town. Comfortable and restful stay in Murten.
This was a charming bed and breakfast style hotel in Murten that my wife and I enjoyed thoroughly. We were looking for total relaxation and this place helped considerably with that because of its cozy atmosphere
Some of the staff were excellent. In particular the GM, Chloe was outstanding - a real asset to this company. The two male hotel staff in the breakfast room were also very good. Capable and friendly.
It was a short stay in the old town of Murten and it worked really well - the rooms where old but still good standard and especially very good value for money at a perfect location
