I have stayed at Green Village several times over the last 3 years. I keep returning due to the hosts, the cleanliness, and the quiet air in the countryside. They have different rooms that suit all types of situations and cooking facilities if you just want to stay in.. Highly recommend 👌

We took in two meals while in Cochrane on the weekend of Nov 25, at Sakura Sushi and Grill and at the Texas Gate - both were wonderful. Cochrane has a young-family active vibe and we were lucky to be there for the annual Cochrane Light Up, where the streets downtown were filled with music and lights, carolers and celebration to kick off the Christmas season. It was a blast!

The town seems like a nice place to live, we liked the historic town and the saloon. There is a good ice cream parlour but it always has a queue, but worth the wait. Lots of restaurants and close enough to other attractions

Cochrane is friendly and has everything you need.
Cochrane is friendly and has everything you need. It is a short ride to Canmore which is also a very beautiful bit expensive experience.
The one negative was our car rental “Routes Car Rental” I found and reserved it online under Calgary airport car rentals. I received no follow up reservation number. That should have raised an alert after all they had cashed my visa payment. When we arrived at the airport we went to the area with all the auto booths. They had no booth i only found a phone number and address via the Internet. They were a bus ride away!!! They had i record of my order. I had to spell my name, Smith, five times. They had a substitute car which fine and brand new. But it was was A horrible way to start a vacation.

I love the centre of town it has so much character,if you travel in from Calgary on the 1A as you descend the hill above the town the view of the valley and town is quite something.
The Rocky view hotel is a must visit place for those who enjoy great food and drink at value for money prices.
So many visitors to the Rockies will rush by on the way to Banff and miss out, on a town that is packed with history.Slow down people its well worth a visit.

We were in Cochrane for a market taking place at Redwood Meadows. We only went to Tim Horton's for coffee and to the nearest gas station. Anyone we spoke with was very friendly and accommodating when asking for directions.

You can be in the Kananaskis area in under an hour.... and in Banff or Canmore in less than 2 hours. Cochrane town itself has a lovely heritage hotel and a there is a lot of western theme places to see. There is also a wolf-dog sanctuary very close by, which you can take a tour of. You can see the Rocky Moutains very well and there are Themed stores to shop in. You are very close to the Trans. Can. Hwy which makes travel very easy.
This little suite is adorable and very comfortable and clean. Elena, the host, is friendly and warm. We booked in Cochrane rather than Calgary to attend a weekend workshop in Springbank, and the drive was short and scenic. We opted out of breakfast at the suite, but there was a lovely bowl of fresh fruit waiting for us, along with tea and coffee, a nice French Press, and a microwave and apartment sized fridge. A nice touch in the bathroom was the host-family's homemade soaps.
The hotel is well situated and close to many shops and businesses within Cochrane. The staff were all very friendly including the adorable puppy that greeted me in the lobby. The rooms are starting to show their age, but I found everything to be clean and in working order. The room was very spacious and adeqately comfortable for a short stay. The free continental breakfast was well stocked with several choices to start your day.
The hotel is an older, better established place. The lobby has a tiled floor and comfortable sitting area. It is well apportioned with tourist information for those traveling. There is a laundry room with excellent counter space for sorting & folding your clothes. The hotel staff are exceptionally nice & informative. There are places to eat nearby and the hotel offers a nutritious free breakfast.
Spacious suite, perfect for families or for friends/coworkers traveling together. The full kitchen is equipped with dishes, pans, etc. Parking is right at the door of your room. Very friendly welcome upon arrival, and the property was not difficult to find. Breakfast was not included with the room, but Cochrane's downtown is just a few minutes away and offers excellent breakfast options.
My wife and i was visiting my daughter and decided to stay the night in Cochrane. This was the first time we have stayed at the Days Inn and found the hotel very nice, room was very clean, breakfast was provided and was presently surprised that it was a hot breakfast with bacon, sausage, eggs, toast and a good selection of cold cereal and juices.
I love the location of this hotel. There are lots of restaurants and walking trails close by. We have stayed here a few times for dance competitions that have been within 10 minutes of Cochrane. It is a lot easier to get to and much quieter than staying in Calgary.
The check-in was very smooth, and the check-in clerk was very professional and courteous.
The room was very clean and comfortable.
Good price compared to all the other prices of hotels in the area.
Plenty of parking and close to gas stations and food.
The best stay at a Days Inn I've ever stayed at! The staff were exceptional, beds were very comfy, and the room was clean (appreciated the wood floors). The complimentary breakfast was great and the free cup ramens were a nice touch!
Staff was extremely friendly and just all around wonderful! The bold exterior at first was intimidating but inside is a very well taken care of, neat, cozy old hotel. Definately recommend and would stay again.
Good sized room, and was clean and comfortable. Bed and sitting area. Cold time of year to visit Cochrane but staff quick to supply extra fleece blanket and space heater. Once room warmed up stayed warm.
Owner was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant on site was excellent, the spaghetti was delicious. Hotel is in a cool area of town and the building has a lot of history.
The staff were extremely helpful and helped arrange early access to a room so we could get ready for an event. The location is good and hotel is clean. Would recommend staying herr
staff at the hotel, dining room and bar were all fantastic, as was the food and comfort. Maybe a little noisier than some folks would care for, but they also provide earplugs. :)
Stayed at the hotel before and always found the hotel to be clean, friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Nice swimming pool and a good breakfast which is included in the price.
