We really did not spend much time in Port aux Basques. Just spent the night. The next morning we continued our trip to Norris Point. Maybe, next time we will take the time to investigate Port aux Basques.

We stayed in port aux basques the night we arrived on the island and the night before departing. It is a nice town to visit. Did just a bit of driving to see what was there. We ate at a restaurant in Margaree and it was not a good experience for us. Very long wait. One and a half hours to get food once order was placed.

I travelled down the west coast to see the fishing ports and the scenery. I was not disappointed, when I travelled down the coast, it was late in the afternoon and the sunset and scenery was marvellous. Great memories!

We just stayed overnight after taking the ferry.
We just stayed overnight after taking the ferry. We were on our way to Gros Morne NP and should have driven a couple of hours to a different town. We were worried to have to drive in the dark but in July thiswouldn't have been a problem.

I have nothing but praise for the staff at Hotel Port Aux Basques! Hurricane Lee forced a last-minute cancellation and re-booking of our ferry crossing and Hotel Port Aux Basques graciously allowed us to modify our booking due to the inclement weather.
I am also unable to provide any further evaluation due to the changes .
I loved the little town it was in and everything was so close to the hotel and it was fantastic that the ferry was just minutes away. The hotel was really nice, clean and well kept. The rooms were really nice and equipped with a mini fridge, microwave and a coffee maker.
These people were working through Hurricane Fiona and were helpful and friendly and efficient, even though they weren't sure their house was okay. If you had a concern or a need they were there to help|! The Hotel owners should be proud of their staff!
This is a convenient hotel located just right for the NL/NS ferry run. The parking is convenient and ample. There were no issues. The room was adequate and fairly quiet. Reception went well with no delays or issues and the staff were helpful.
Easy to find, comfy beds, clean room. The coffee maker in my room didn’t work. When I told the front desk, they apologized and sent me into the restaurant to get coffee there😊, with no hesitation. That’s great customer service
This was the perfect location for taking the ferry from Nova Scotia. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The location was excellent (very close to the ferry port) and right on the water. It was also neat that the Newfoundland Rescue helicopter lands and takes off on the parking lot of the hotel (my kids loved that).
The room had character but was entirely clean and attractive. The people at the front desk were friendly and efficient. The restaurant servers kept our coffee cups full and our meals on the table quickly.
The hotel is well maintained and reasonably updated. Clean and quiet. Nice view of a natural cliff from the window. Location is perfect for getting on the boat. Loved the motorcycle parking area.
The location is great for taking the ferry to Nova Scotia. The building is older but clean. The rooms are adequate. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was good. The breakfast was also good.
After a long crossing on the ferry, it was a short drive to the hotel. The front desk staff was very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are immaculate and very cozy and comfortable.
