The rainforest was breathtakingly beautiful. We were lucky to see a juvenile and adult Cassowary. We enjoyed walks along several beaches, Cow Bay, ,Cape Tribulation. Alexandra lookout. Cape Tribulation boardwalk.Daintree Discovery Centre was amazing.

The whole experience from the ferry ride, meandering along windy roads whilst taking in the magnificent tropical views to our destination was fascinating. The 2023 December cyclone caused chaos with the roads eroding & severely damaged, there are traffic management staff all the way with single lanes & traffic lights along cape tribulation road. Well worth a visit to support the local businesses & Heritage Lodge staff were amazing & our evening dinners were 5 star restaurantAAnonymous - 10Scored 10

4 days was awesome, 1. Atherton tablelands, 2 indigenous tour / learn to spear fish & other indigenous ways, look for different bush foods, 3. Bruce belcher croc trip, mossman gorge and cultural tour by indigenous leader 4. Pt Douglas, reef trip, shopping or day spa! 5. Daintree Village ferry and high-top walk way 6. Go see Donna at Daintree Wild and hear about her fabulous stories of running the old zoo, which is now a bed and breakfast! Injured Emus in cars, wild wombats and an attack by a cassowary and the people who were scared to go into their room because there was a small green tree snake 30 m away on the balcony!!

Daintree was lovely and we enjoyed birdwatching, exploring some of the surrounding tracks and, particularly, an early-morning birding trip on the Daintree River. However, we changed our plans and stayed in Port Douglas which was close enough to allow daily trips to Daintree but had better - and better value - hotels, a choice of restaurants and so on.MartinUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

A wonderful experience in the Daintree and Cape Trib. We missed the Cassowary Falls as they wanted $59 per adult to enter. So sadly, no where nearby for a free swim in the heat. Ferry over the river was $45 return which is pricey for a 2 minute trip across. The DVH Pub over the road had great bar staff with meals and drinks very affordable and yummy. The manager even put the T20 world cup cricket final on the TV for us. The café at Thornton Beach had great views and tasty sour dough sandwiches. Recommend a stop at the Daintree Ice-cream park too as they were fantastic flavors and only $7.50 for a tub of four varieties!

Beautiful, amazing and peaceful, we loved the Daintree. Can't wait to visit again. Cassowary falls was amazing and I would recommend the Eco Lodge for dinner. Unfortunately we missed out on daintree icecream but won't next visit. Dave at Solarwhisper tours was amazing with his personal knowledge of the local crocs and wildlife. Swimming in the Emmagen creek was fun, we should have gone to the blue holes for a swim but will have too next time also. Highly recommended sailaway tours to Mackay Cay for a great reef experience.

Peaceful , nice waterholes Great walks . Daintree village closed for dinner . Barge stops at midnight, so get your stuff sorted before you leave it to late Hard to get anything after dark . I would pack food next time I head that way , Sandfly’s happy to pick you up and take you to your next location 🤨 Nice drive from port Douglas to cape tribulation, roads were all quite good . Nice place to visit .WayneAustralia

Charmaine and Robbie are wonderful hosts that make you feel like home. Robbie cooks the beast breakfast ever and both of them are very caring. the room and the common area is spotless and the bed very comfortable. they provide a shared fridge and cutlery…an add on is the wonderful garden where they grow lots of exotic fruits. would come back any time!! couldn’t be any better!!!

The photos on booking.com are not currently a true reflection of how the property currently is. Iexpected it might be a bit tired but it more much more than that. The accommodation has lots of potential, with a massive overhaul and clean out. The owner really did try and make our stay comfortable, but it was an environment that felt uncomfortable for me. The zoo is closed and very overgrown. There are a couple of animals left.GailAustralia

We had the most beautiful chalet with magic views of Thornton Peak and surrounds. We made great use of the beautiful spa both at the beginning and end of the day. Andy was fun and informative, he took us on a great tour in the off road vehicle and up for a swim at the magnificent Cassowary Falls! We will back without a doubt. Don't hesitate, book now!

The boat leaves right in front of this lodge and it was convenient. There's nothing fancy in the room but it satisfies our basic needs.
