The location was perfect for access to the RieslingTrail. it was very cold outside and we had great heating inside, with two fire places, reverse cycle aircon and portable heaters in the bedrooms. All the beds were really comfortable, and the super large shower was excellent!
Guests can enjoy a relaxing getaway at The Mill Apartments Clare Valley, which offers serviced apartments set amid mature pepper trees in the scenic Clare Valley.

Thoroughly enjoyed hitting bikes and doing the Riesling Trial and had a wonder lunch at Slate restaurant and at O’Leary Walker winery.
Visiting Crabtree winery and having a bottle of Riesling with the group with a wonderful view was magic. The service at Crabtree was exceptional and I love my glass cloth!

Clare is less touristy than Barrossa and all wineries are very close to each other. Rent a bike and cycle down the Reisling Trail is a great way to explore the area and have wine-tasting along the trail.

Clare Valley is different Australia - countryside, but a lot of houses and villages with relatively short distences, in many ways like Central Europe. Most of the Australia is open fields or forest for long distances.
Main attraction is of course the wineries. Bungaree Station (a historical sheep farm) is worth of visiting just 10-15km north from Clare. Martindal Hall is amazing - a grandious manor house build in English rich gentry style by a sheep farmer (he imprted architect and 50 builders from London to built it in 2 years in 1880s). Old no more used railway track has been converted as bicycle (or walking) track - over 30 km and covers full lenght of the Clare Valley.

Just wished the hotel was a bit cleaner cobweb I. Room and the second day we got no fresh towel and they did not clean the room properly bed was it even made
A comfortable, cosy cottage, very comfortable beds, loved the bath especially after a day of hiking, great to have a washing machine available, lovely to be out in the country in a very quiet and scenic location. This is a great location as a base for walking the Clare Valley Wine & Wilderness Trail. The host, Will was accommodating and communicated well. Would definitely recommend the cottage to others.
the staff were very friendly and helpful, they immediately helped us out renting bikes and giving us a map to explore the riesling trail, the room was very spacious and had nice seating outside and access to the grass and pool directly, appeared to be very tidy and the bathroom appliances were quite modern - it was a very nice sunny day so we spent some time enjoying the weather.
Lovely renovated cottage
Bed was very comfortable, nice breakfast included, bacon & eggs, bread, juice, cereals had a coffee machine, teas.
Thanks Fran you are wonderful host.
Is across the road from bike shop, nice and easy to walk over and organise hiring a bike to ride and do the Riesling Trail, was loads of fun.
We walked into Clare for dinner easy 15 minute walk
Glamping tents were comfortable and well appointed, such a bonus having ensuite toilet and shower for each tent. The communal kitchen and fire pit was a great place to gather, meet some of the other guests. Chill out. Such a lovely setting and so close to Clare. The hostess was also incredibly helpful in identifying wineries to go to, places to eat, activities to do.
The room, which was essentially a bedroom with a small kitchenette and an ensuite bathroom was spotlessly clean and the bed lovely and comfortable. Ideal for a three night stay exploring the Clare Valley, and the best thing is that host operates a Wine Tour business which is an absolute must for seeing what the Clare Valley has to offer.
The breakfast that was included was amazing and refreshed daily. The location was on the main road so it was easy to walk through the Main Street of Clare. Unfortunately we went on a long weekend so nothing was open on the Monday which was a shame. The facilities were cosy and freshly renovated, and the views were beautiful.
The location was great - only a short walk to the main street of Clare and entrance to the Riesling Trail was even closer. The breakfast provided was plentiful for us for two days. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for us to sit in the lounge to watch a movie and enjoy a meal at the dining table.
Great location just outside Clare. Great kitchen and laundry facilities. Spacious separate lounge with dining area which were kept nice ad warm with the split system heating. The location is very private away from town lights, great for viewing stars at night. The heated bathroom floors were a lovely bonus!
The cottage was a delight. It is close to all facilities available in Clare and quiet and cosy in its leafy surrounds. There was so much space to relax in, and the resources in the cottage made the stay a pleasure. This is first class accommodation.
The home is very comfortable and has a delightful outdoor living area. Breakfast supplies were so generous that we couldn't eat everything. It's a very short walk to Clare main street and major supermarket. We loved it.
Rural location with stunning views from the lookout, warm and cosy with combustion fire heating, comfortable mattress and nice warm shower, excellent breakfast provisions, close location to Clare and its wineries
Great location. The Hotel would have been great for a meal although we'd had a big lunch elsewhere and so didn't eat there that night. The bed was the comfiest one we had on our whole road trip.
Provisions were generous and high quality. Location was secluded, but not too far from Clare and surrounding wineries. Excellent view from the back of the property, overlooking Blyth.
We loved their 24hr self service check in! so convenient as we arrived in Clare at 8pm and could go directly to dinner without worrying we would miss the check in time.
