We love this hotel. It's a classic, old building with shared bathrooms. We were hesitant at first about that but we never waited for the shower or toilet. There's a sink and mirror in the room as well. We stayed here twice already, the location is perfect.

This beautifully presented property is spacious with some luxurious touches like a deep free standing bath under a chandelier! Sit out on the verandah and enjoy the sculpture filled garden and gorgeous views. You might even see some hot air balloons if you are up early enough! And you might get a visit from some very sweet poodles!
The kitchen has everything you could need if you wish to self cater, and the host provides a generous breakfast which includes as much home made bread and preserves as you ask for! Yum! The heating worked great and the bed was comfortable. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Location location location! I LOVED looking out over the lush, manicured lawn and tree filled landscape knowing the river was flowing through this peaceful scene.
Great walk up to Donnelly's Weir takes you on a two hour stroll with varied scenery and levels of difficulty. You really feel like you're away from the madding crowd (I was there at 7am).
I was lucky to bump into lovely Sharon the host, and we shared our passion for infrared saunas (why I booked this place) and she showed me her spectacular edible garden. The raspberries were so delicious plucked plump and warm off the vine. Can thoroughly recommend this experience. Make sure you take time to sit in the hammock and just be.
