It feels like a little jungle paradise, but has restaurants, shops and every service you might need right outside. The beach is beautiful (although only really suitable for swimming at high tide), pool is great, breakfast is delicious and has something different every day. All the staff are really helpful and friendly, but Sand really went the extra mile and made us feel so welcome and well taken care of. She never tired of making friends with my incredibly shy 1 year old, and came running with insect repellant before I even realized the flies were having a feast on me that one morning I came to breakfast unusually early.

The Du Talay is a small family run hotel with 21 cosy rooms under Thai/German management. 4 years ago it was fully renovated. The rooms are very well equiped. We rented the room with the jaccuzi and it was phenomenal! Spacious living room large bathroom with sea view, comfy bed, Netflix on TV. Large private terrace. The breakfast was okay, maybe a little bit bland after a while. The staff was nice, the aircon worked great. Good location to reach both sides of the island. We also rented the scooter (125cc) from them and it worked great. The beach in front of the hotel is not usable 24/7, at high tide it's simply underwater. The area around the hotel offers many restaurants, the small night market next to it is also nice.
