When only we arrived, I was thinking - "gosh, I have given 10 points on booking for places far less special than this. What should I give them - 12, 20 or what?". It is really a very special, cozy, well-kept and loved place. We were visiting out of season, so it seems ours was the only occupied cottage. Such serenity, peace, fresh air. The territory is spacious, our cottage was so nicely equipped, nicely smelling. Each detail is well planned and taken care of. Breakfast is great, coffee (and coffee machine) is nice. All the people working here - super friendly and warm. We also lit fire in the fireplace each evening - that's so cozy & great. Also there’s a lot of prepared information about the area (where to eat, what to see) in the room. Most of it in EN, which is very practical for someone visiting region for the first time (such as ourselves). It’s one of those places where you want to come back.

We were greeted by Bruno who went out of his way to make sure our check in process was as good as it can be, and in general every staff member we encountered was nice. The place is absolutely gorgeous, from the dome itself inside and out and to the other facilities like the dining room which served wonderful food both for breakfast and dinner. The place has a lovely pool in which we swam twice in our one night stay - worth it even though the water is far from warm :) Definitely recommend

We had a long stay with a 5 month old baby and it was amazing. Babies and children can use both swimming pools if using swim pants/diepers. All staff (reception, dinning room) is super friendly and helped out every way they could. The hotel manager greeted most guests daily and made sure everything was ok. The hotel and gardens are beautiful and well kept and the rooms very comfortable. Amazing view. Very good breakfast.

Hotel Santos usytuowany jest w zabytkowym centrum miasta Guarda, 150 metrów od katedry. Dojazd do terenów zielonych w parku przyrody Serra da Estrela zajmuje 10 minut. Hotel położony w samym centrum historycznej części miasteczka Guarda. Lokalizacja idealna, pokój czysty, obsługa bardzo miła, lecz były problemy językowe (nie wszyscy mówili po angielsku), śniadania dobre, lecz codziennie to samo - ser i szynka, brakowało jakiegoś warzywa dla przełamania rutyny, pyszna kawka :) pokój wygodny, internet działał bez zarzutu. Doskonała baza wypadowa na północ Portugalii.

Located between the cities of Covilhã and Guard, Hotel Belsol offers picturesque views of the Zêzere Valley and the Serra da Estrela Mountains. It features an outdoor swimming pool and a tennis court.... A spacious hotel in a good position with views across the valley. Good food and good parking. Pool was immaculate as were the gardens. In fact the whole place was really well cared for.
