Octant Douro located in Vista Alegre, Castelo de Paiva. Offering a stunning infinity pool the hotel overlooks the Douro River blending itself with the surrounding nature. Octant Duoro is an exceptional hotel from the truly amazing architecture and exquisite decor to the extremely attentive staff and delicious food. Lourenco was exceptionally helpful organising a wonderful excursion to the gorgeous vineyard of Quinta da Aveleda followed by a wonderful lunch at Casa da Viuva wine bar. Our time here was magical and included a magnificent boat cruise along the Duoro River.

Situated in a former 18th-century wine estate, this luxury hotel overlooks vineyards and the Douro Valley. The room's view was phenomenal. All staff were extremely attentive to detail and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Pinhao.

Nestled in the vineyards and olive trees with views over the valley. Spacious rooms, meticulously and tastefully decorated with attention to the small things down to fresh oranges, yummy cookies and port in the room. Super comfy beds. Very welcoming and cozy. Dinner was superb and presented beautifully. Thanks to Cristiano who was always available to ensure our stay was perfect which truly was the highlight of a three week vacation in Portugal.

Offering an outdoor pool surrounded by vineyards and a lush garden area, Casa da Azenha is located in Lamego. Free WiFi access is available in this farm stay. A perfect place to stay and experience the Douro Valley. Simply beautiful location, surroundings and property. Close to everything you want to see in the valley....vineyards, port tasting, rustic villages, boat trips on the river etc...etc.. Maria & Becas were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was traditional Portuguese and very nice...(could do with some vegetables though...:-)). Swimming pool was welcome after a long, hot day travelling around, as was walking round the vineyards and gardens. Loved our very short time there... thank you!!
