The hotel is lodged in five characteristic North Holland houses with a beautiful garden in the middle on the water's edge. The restaurant offers you a good international kitchen. Resting by the picturesque Keizersgracht canal, this hotel offers an ideal base for exploring this charming, historical town.



Famous for its distinctive cheese which shares the town's name, you can sample it for yourself from the market in Nieuwenhuizen Square. Other attractions include the 14th century Church of Saint Nicholas with ornate stained glass windows and carved woodwork from the period. The location was great. The property is lovely. The small romantic bedroom was big enough. Great restaurant open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Each of the 78 bedrooms have been uniquely decorated and feature authentic Dutch decor. Rooms are generously proportioned and some of them offer views over the Lake Markermeer or Volendam’s famous boulevard on the dike. The hotel is very elegant, its location is beautiful, the room is spacious, and it had a beautiful view of the sea. We did not delay in the reservation procedures. The staff are wonderful and very respectful, and the breakfast is varied, but I will return soon to this elegant hotel. Thank you to the hotel staff
