Offering a restaurant, Riverbank, Country Pub and Guesthouse is located in the countryside 10 minutes’ drive from Carrickmacross. I arrived late in the evening and the hosts were exceptionally accommodating. I had dinner at the pub and the staff arranged for my taxi the following morning. The food at the bar is also very good. I very much enjoyed my stay here, would definitely visit again for longer.

The 4-star Shirley Arms Hotel is located in the market town of Carrickmacross, South Monaghan. It boasts elegant rooms decorated in luxury fabrics, free Wi-Fi and a fine dining restaurant. Breakfast, staff everything was above and beyond my expectations. Ireland will always be a wonderful place to me, I left it 50 years ago to see the world and I still call it home.

Amid the hills and lakes of Monaghan, this modern 4-star hotel has plenty of leisure facilities, a relaxing spa and the opportunity for outdoor activities. Attended for a wedding. Was upgraded at check in. Room was a great size and breakfast was lovely.
