Tampere Maja offers accommodation in an 18th century wooden house in the heart of the Old Town of Tartu. There is a cultural club in the cellar, showing exhibitions of Estonian and Finnish art. The guest house is an old wooden building, authentically restored, with very well preserved details (floor, ceiling). The rooms are practically furnished, suitable for longer stays (up to several weeks). In our room, apart from the bedroom with a double and a single bed, there were two sofa beds in the living room. This makes it suitable for a larger family. As it turns out, one of Tartu's sister cities is Tampere in Finland. Tampere maja plays a central role in organizing bilateral relations and functions not only as a guest house but also as a cultural centre. For example, the property houses a gallery where works by Finnish and Estonian artists can be viewed, and related artworks can also be seen in the guest rooms and the dining room. Breakfast was delicious and hearty, offering both local and international dishes. The guest house is very close to the central square of the old town, but most attractions are within walking distance.

The Antonius is a luxurious boutique hotel in the heart of the old town of Tartu, directly opposite the main building of Tartu university. Tartu Town hall is 170 metres away. An excellent hotel indeed, very centrally located in the old town, and in a silent street. Great room, great bed, great bath and super breakfast. And the hotel restaurant is excellent - try it!

The small and comfortable Hansa Hotel is only a few minutes away from the centre of Tartu, close to the shopping centres and the Emajögi River. Free Wi-Fi is provided. Everything.... Room was like something from a fairytale, private patio, big comfy bed. The entire hotel was filled with old stuff, like walkin through a museum. Staff friendly and serviceminded. We stayed here for 3 nights. When we return this is our number one choice.

Located in the centre of Tartu, on the edge of the Old Town, Art Hotel Pallas, renovated in May 2020, offers modern, air-conditioned rooms with an LCD TV with satellite channels and free WiFi. Perfect location (city center), cozy room, and nice breakfast (pancakes were delicious - gonna miss those). Really loved it!

Situated in Tartu, 100 metres from Tartu Town Hall, Hotel Soho features accommodation with a restaurant, a bar and private parking at an extra fee. Great friendly staff, terrific breakfast and lovely comfy bed. Can’t say enough except to recommend the hotel.

Villa Margaretha Boutique Hotell is a cosy and small hotel in Art Nouveau style, conveniently located only a 5-minute walk away from Tartu’s historic centre. Villa Margaretha continues to be one of the best accommodations in Tartu, in my opinion. You will get a beautiful room in an historic building in the walking distance of Tartu centre and its just lovely. You will have everything you need there for a lovely stay.
