Had amazing breakfast (great variety of hot dishes) and dinner at the hotel bistro. Polite staff and we can get to check in the room early.

Featuring an outdoor pool with panoramic views over Lake Maggiore, this elegant Villa enjoys a privileged location above Locarno. - located a little far away from the center enough to enjoy some peace and quiet - incredible reception by the staff with a great tour around the hotel upon our arrival - an upgrade that was incredibly generous - breakfast was delicious and a huge thank you to mr Francois for his huge help and hospitality - the views from the room were amazing - most amenities including the shower, fridge and oven are more than what you need - marvellous jacuzzi to enjoy

Το Piccolo Hotel βρίσκεται σε μια ήσυχη τοποθεσία, σε απόσταση 8 λεπτών με τα πόδια από το σιδηροδρομικό σταθμό του Λοκάρνο και το κέντρο της πόλης. Has more of a Bed and Breakfast vibe than that of a hotel, but truly excellent! Will definitely come back! A small hint: if you ask on the previous day they will give you a breakfast with more limited options already from 7:30 am (instead of the regular 8:00 am)

Kristina went above and beyond for us to have a great stay. She accommodated for my husband's allergies, upgraded our room to a suite and helped us plan trips and activities. Once a patrician residence built in the 18th century, the Hotel Tamaro can be found right on the banks of Lake Maggiore in the centre of Ascona. Exceptional views straight to Lago Maggiore. Our room was spacious and comfy and the balcony big enough to enjoy the view with a cup of coffee. The staff very friendly and the breakfast very rich and delicious. Also here you could choose to eat inside or outside, on the lake shore, absolutely amazing! It is 5 min walk from the bus stop and in the city centre so walking distance to practically everything. The port is not even 50 m away. Would recommend it!

The Hotel&Hostel Montarina occupies a historic Villa built around 1860, only 200 metres from the Lugano train station. location was exceelent, very friendly staff, the swimming pool was a great extra! very clean and quiet with nice common areas

The family-run Continental Parkhotel is located 200 metres south of the main railway station of Lugano, where the funicular leaves regularly for the city centre. The rooms was perfect! Amazing view! The bathtub/jacuzzi in the room was a big plus. The staff is 11/10 amazing! The breakfast is very good! FREE parking for your car! FREE bus/train tickets for every day stay. The Lindtt chocolate in our bed was a excepcional gift and we thank you a lot!

Perfect location in the center of Lugano, everything in walkable distance. Considering the property has more than 130 years of history, it's well maintained. Rooms spacious enough if you don't spend the whole day there. Bathroom clean and spacious. Breakfast with everything you need the start of the day. Crew very polite, attentive. Jacuzzi was not working because it was November already, could imagine this to be a perfect addition to our stay. We had 2 excellent days in Lugano. Thank you Walter Au Lac. Bottom line: I've read the reviews here complaining about the street noise: It's a hotel at a lake with a street on a lake shore. What do you expect, a road closure for the whole night? Some complain about small choice for breakfast? Seriously?
