The Hotel&Hostel Montarina occupies a historic Villa built around 1860, only 200 metres from the Lugano train station. location was exceelent, very friendly staff, the swimming pool was a great extra! very clean and quiet with nice common areas

Bottom line: I've read the reviews here complaining about the street noise: It's a hotel at a lake with a street on a lake shore. What do you expect, a road closure for the whole night? Some complain about small choice for breakfast? Seriously?
