it is just five minutes away from the beach, and even closer there is a convenience mart. The pool was lovely (it only gets sunshine in the morning so you should swim early). The breakfast was so delicious and a great value for the price. Kind and helpful staff, everyone seemed very happy.

The inclusive breakfast was literally anything you wanted. Eggs, waffles and pancakes made fresh to order. Fruit, breads, pastries all fresh.

Kata beach also a great location outside of the hustle and bustle of Patong but still close enough by tuck tuck to most things. They also made an extra effort to wish my partner a happy 30th and valentines, which sounds minor but I’ve always been surprised how many places don’t bother. It went a long way for me.

In general we found Kata beach a little disappointing though (though we went during rainy season so didn’t get to enjoy the beach). The room was large with a lovely comfortable bed, great bathroom, fridge and kettle. The patio was lovely with a gorgeous day bed. The room was cleaned every day. The pool was fantastic and towels were available for use. It was also handy having a hotel shuttle to the 3 closest beaches.
