This is such a lovely small hotel in the very centre of St Jean de Luz in a pedestrian street. It is very quiet and peaceful. I was greeted warmly on arrival by Jennifer who helped me with my luggage. I was given a lovely, comfortable room with a balcony looking over the main shopping street. Every detail had been thought about, including providing black tea on request for the English tea drinker! The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the bathroom was very well equipped with an excellent shower. Breakfast with local products was delicious and served in a lovely room looking over the hotel terrace. I would thoroughly recommend Les Almadies and its owners, Jennifer and Mathieu, for a great place to stay. I hope to visit again.

Despite our arrival after the reception had closed, our check-in was very smooth. The hotel had messaged me with a door code and an envelope with our room key and an explanatory letter were waiting on the counter. Our room was immaculate and very quiet as it overlooked a small courtyard at the rear.
