We received a wonderful welcome from Mirjana, who greeted us with a glass of her fine Teran and we felt instantly at home. Skerlj is a historic wine estate which goes back six generations to 1788; our room was cosy and full of character with beautiful old furniture. Delicious breakfasts with homemade eggs, local jams and honeys etc. Mirjana gave us some excellent recommendations for dinner both nights. A lovely place to wind down and enjoy the atmosphere with the friendly cats and elderly dog. Thoroughly recommended, we can’t wait to return!

25 km from Trieste Train Station, Vina Kobal, Kobal Family Estate is a recently renovated property located in Štanjel and provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. It is easy to go by foot to the historical village of Stanjel. We appreciated the covered terrace. Very comfortable and clean. Private parking spot nearby the house. Very quiet neighbourhood.

The breakfast basket, the distinctly personal wine tasting, the local delicious food and the warmth are exceptional. Despite the out-of-the-way location, it was a really very great stay and we can certainly recommend it!

Located in Lokev and only 7.9 km from The Škocjan Caves, Country House Lokev provides accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. Really enjoyed our stay here. Friendly hosts and all facilities we needed. Great breakfasts. We stayed here as base for visiting Lipica and Koper. Also very close to Italy but we couldn't take our hire car out of Slovenia. Friendly dogs and cats too and lots of horses. Very happy to recommend.

It was really a nice place. Very gentle owner couple. The house is with a beautiful panorama, ancient style. Each piece of decoration is with the thinking. You found the great ideas in this house. Twenty minutes by car to the sea. Some nice restaurants around 10 minutes by car. At home you have everything necessary for cooking. The shower is the best. It was like to discover a treasure. The village is not something special, but you have a new playground for the children.

We were very satisfied with the accommodation. Beautiful location, very nice and helpful hostess, friendly communication. Everything beautifully cleaned, clean, equipped. Very pleasant accommodation. I recommend.
