The Tempus at Charlton Hall Estate is the perfect location for an unforgettable experience. Food was very good. Got the roast beef dinner and my fiancé got the pork belly. Decent price as well to boot. Breakfast was also very good with a continental appetizer and then a full breakfast. Toured the grounds after for a nice walk. Perfect distance to bamburgh and alnwick castles for a day out.

With beautiful views of the Northern Fells, Ravenstone Lodge is 5 miles from Keswick, at the foot of Ullock Pike so you can relax in the conservatory or on the terrace and enjoy some of the best Lake District scenery. Views are spectacular. Hotel is surrounded by mountains, greens & farms, 30 min walking distance to the Bassenthwaite lake. We swam there. Staff and boss were so friendly and tried their best to meet our needs. I must thank Brett and his team who arranged our dessert marked 'Happy Anniversary' on our special day. We were very satisfying with our stay there.

We were blown away by the location and the setting. The room had all the amenities you could wish for and the added bonus of being so light and airy and spacious. Nigel & Lesley went out of their way to help us and their little added touches in the room was so much more than you would usually get such as the continental breakfast including fresh milk, bread and yogurts.

A great week-end drinking, eating and chilling. Very attentive staff. Nice selection of meals offered. We loved the shepherd's hut and it was in our own secluded spot. We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit watching the stars after dark. Our dog also enjoyed himself. Such a dog-friendly place.
