A lovely house from 1800, restored inside very gently. Our room was big and the bathroom delicate. A lovely garden, nice and "untouched" in a good way.

The chateau itself was beautiful, with fantastic views overlooking the river. The pool was great and so big compared to most others. Mark and Lindsey were superb hosts, very welcoming. The breakfast was lovely and we decided to have the evening meal which we would recommend. We will be returning if they will have us - and we hope to stay in the recently refurbished gite!

We were 2 families travelling together with young kids and it was really family friendly. It’s really charming and renovated to a high standard while keeping the historic and traditional feel and look. it has lot of space, being a 15 century castle with games room, library etc. the setting is beautiful with a massive garden including a great pool which we really enjoyed on the hot and sunny day we stayed there, especially as we had the whole area to ourselves. We also had a really nice dinner there as well as breakfast the next day and our host couldn’t have been more welcoming and service minded. His passion about his castle was contagious and we also really enjoyed his guided tour learning a lot about the castle through the centuries. if you want to experience staying in a historic castle or just escape the busyness of everyday life, this place is highly recommended.

Very nice accomodation in a beautifull area in France. The place is spacious and has a nice garden to enjoy the sun. The kitchen is well equiped and the wifi is fast. The host was very helpfull and provided some regional products for us.

What a privilege to stay in this wonderful old house! We found nothing else like it at such an affordable price. It is truly gorgeous with its old-fashioned charm, and the games, tennis court, table football and great swimming pool meant that there was plenty for kids to do at the house even on days when we didn't do an excursion. We also loved the big dormitory bunkroom where all the kids could go together: that made it even more exciting for them, like one big sleepover. The modern kitchen was very handy and other bedrooms were plentiful and a good size. The rural location was lovely and the wildlife quite beautiful. The lack of light pollution also made for a wonderful evening lying on the grass and stargazing. There is a boulangerie close by for fresh bread, as well as some lovely walks. But overall the best thing was the house itself: so beautiful, with its wide stone staircase and timber beams, and in its wooded grounds, and its lovely period furniture and paintings on the walls.

What a wonderful experience we had in this beautiful chateau. The welcome was warm, all the staff very friendly, the breakfasts delicious and beautifully presented, and the elegant furnishings and decor in every room just splendid. This was a magical place and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
