The owners were wonderful, including their two dogs. They seemed to know everyone in the vicinity and got me a dinner reservation on short notice the first night. Recommendations were very helpful and informative. Playing guitar on a platform by the pond at night with stars, satellites and dogs was wonderful.

Great location if one wants to visit the Elephant Sanctuary (and/or the Monkeypark/Birds of Eden). Super friendly and helpful staff!

Valmont estate is picture perfect with the most beautiful horses adding to the tranquility. We stayed in the Dam Cottage which was very cutely decorated and snug. Its centrally located and very close to Natures Valley with a beautiful unspoilt beach and hike, and just off the N2 so a short drive into Plett for a meal or tsitsikamma for some adventure sports. This is the perfect place to rest and rejuvenate. The staff are lovely and super helpful.
