This family owned B&B is in a beautiful location, with stunning views. The studios are very private, and have balconies overlooking the mountains. The communal areas of the property include a ‘glass room’ and a cosy living room with fire. Both are gorgeous. The property layout gives a great opportunity to choose whether to keep yourself to yourself, or to mingle with others. The family are exceptionally helpful and friendly. Id recommend this place to anyone.

If you have a car, and you are doubting, just book! It gives you Bali vibes. We absolutely loved it! You can relax in the hammock and enjoy the lush gardens. Would have loved to stay 2 extra days (stayed 2 now). If you have a car, it also is the perfect location if you want to visit Pico Ruivo! It is about an 18 minute drive to the parking of Pico Ruivo. From the parking it is a 45 minute to 1 hour hike to the top, and is is absolutely amazing! We would recommend waking up at 5.30AM (in December, for other months it might differ), and be at the parking for Pico Ruivo at 6AM. Make sure you have a torch or your phone light and walk up to the top. Make sure to dress warmly as well, not for the hike, but for once you are on top! You will first walk under the stars to then see the sun rise above the clouds. You can enjoy the sunrise and walk back to the parking (45 minutes) and drive back to Campo do Pomar and enjoy breakfast and chill a bit more in the hammock. Again, we absolutely loved it!

Everything was perfect. Nice and clean with everything you need. Maybe for longer stays you’ll feel the lack of a washing machine, but for our 5 nights stay we didn’t need it. The fact that there was coffee was just the cherry on top. The host was replying really fast to our messages. Fast as in instant.

Sabino und seine Frau sind extrem nette Gastgeber! Wir wurden herzlich begrüßt mit einem Obstkorb mit Obst aus dem eigenen Garten und einer Flasche Madeira Wein und einem selbgepflückten Strauß Blumen. Zusätzlich gab es von Sabino viele Tips für Restaurants und Aktivitäten. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und abgeschieden und mitten in der Natur. Vom Balkon hat man eine tolle Aussicht auf das Meer und ein miradouro (Aussichtspunkt) ist zu Fuß in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet und das Bett war sehr bequem. Uns hat es an nicht gefehlt!
