Great peaceful place with amazing nature surroundings. Still just 10 minutes drive to Port Covo and local beach. Our dog had freedom to stay without lead cause of big garden.

Manuela was so accommodating and welcoming, super nice to arrive in that way, and she texted me information about nearby beaches and restaurants. Charming converted farmhouse, the photos were accurate. The bed was incredibly comfortable, it was hard to get up in the morning! Well-stocked kitchen, I had everything I needed. Was really nice to be in the quiet countryside, but so close to the nearest town and the beaches. The puppy and kitty cat love was an extra bonus.

Herdade da Matinha is a place that leaves you speechless - it was an absolutely amazing stay that we didn't want to leave. It provided all of the things and essence that we were wanting: slow, calm pace of living, wonderful staff that felt like family, amazing gastronomy, beautifully scenic, rugged artsy chic.
