The village is remote but beautiful. The schist houses are well preserved and there are many trials nearby. The village also offers different creative experiences/ art workshops for visitors and we highly recommend doing one.

Quaint property with rustic charm. We were the only guests in the town, very bucolic. The owner was most hospitable and his wife prepared a delicious dinner just for us.

It feels more like a bed and breakfast than a hostel if you reserve a private room. The room was impeccably clean, very comfortable, and breakfast was quite satisfying! The owners were also so thoughtful and kind, and take amazing care of the property! Even though it was a little rainy, the hiking nearby was really pretty, and it’s easy to hike or drive to explore a few of the schist villages from Lousã. We’d be thrilled to return!!

There are many thoughtful touches to make your stay memorable; capsules for the Nespresso coffee machine, a jar full of cookies, and more. The location is very central but very quiet and peaceful. There's new (and very quiet) air con in all rooms. The host is lovely and gives loads of useful information about the city, hikes in the area and good restaurants. Highly recommended.

We also enjoyed the swimming pool each afternoon. Our hosts were very accommodating, despite our language challenges. Thank goodness for Google Translate!
