Our stay was perfect. Dona Fernanda and her Mother areis amazing persons and makes sure your stay will be amazing. Her breakfast is unbelievable good and generous. We stayed at the apartment and is a very nice facility. The bed is very comfortable. The place is very quiet. We would come back again and highly recommend staying at Casa Alva.

We really loved to stay in Herdade Monte do Sol . We stayed for three weeks ! The apartment is big, the view is exceptional. Very calm and quiet, the air is fresh and amazing. In the night you hear the sound of frogs , so lovely. There are several peackocks, we so enjoyed their beauty.... We love birds, and so it was lovely for us to hear the birds twittering and singing all day long. It was wintertime when we stayed here ( February) we were surprised to see how lush green was the whole place , we went for walks on the poperty, it is big ! and beautiful ! there were flowers everywhere, and flowering trees ! Hens and roosters , very healthy looking. Horses, goats , friendly dogs and cats. ( they did not come into the house , if you did not want them to ) The host family is very very friendly, they helped us with everything. ( for instance Sofia and Daniela arranged for a massage therapist, when one of us hurt their back. ) Sofia even offered to wash our laundry, very much appreciated! Her partner ( I cant spell his name) gave us very good Portuguese wine to try... Everyone was very caring. Thank you so much ! We were served beautiful and rich breakfast to our apartment every morning. The apartment was cleaned every day ! Fresh towels and bedding every few days.... Cleaner ladies very friendly and unintruive too.. And the bed is comfortable ( very important for me ) When my daughter's children came to visit us, they always made a lot of noise, but they were completely accepted. It made our stay so relaxed . Thank you again ! I really really loved the view ... Even on the days when it was rainy and windy and cold . the view was so beautiful .... Amazing sunsets to watch ! I would definitely recommend this beautiful place to everyone. And if we come back to this area, we will surely stay here again.

Design was really nice, showers were excellent (hot water really fast with good pressure), there was coffee you can make in the room, breakfast and the breakfast view were super nice, also easy parking next to the house, space to do yoga in the room and beds and linen were comfy and heater effective. Really nice getaway to the nature. Also when the location is bit far, like no walking distance to the places, you can buy wine and little snacks also from the owner. So it’s was really nice to enjoy wine with book (also little library there) in cozy indoor terrace. The owner is really really lovely and her daughter really cute.
